| | Nas Illmatic CD (1994)
Chapter 7 Instrumentals CD music
$6.09 Out of a seemingly endless array of hip hop albums, every now and again something fresh and powerful rises to the top of the pile. Hailing from the Queensbridge Housing Projects in Long Island City (home to Marley Marl among others), 20-year old Nasir "Nas" Jones is less concerned with being an impersonator than with being an originator, bypassing adolescent fantasies and B-boy braggadocio in favor of jazzy beats, rap noir realism and new answers to urban despair.
ILLMATIC is his story, a cautionary tale of the inner-city streets, and as ...

| | John Entwistle Too Late The Hero CD (1981) (Import) Germany
Chapter 7 Instrumentals CD music
$16.09 TOO LATE THE HERO, the 1981 album from John Entwistle, features nine tracks including "Try Me."
John Entwistle's solo career has never been particularly outstanding in terms of songwriting quality. His complicated, yet rhythmic bass playing has always shone through, however. This is also the case with Too Late the Hero. Lyrically, the album is weak, to say the least. Musically, it's impressive, but makes for a rather unspectacular listen. Joe Walsh and Joe Vitale, on guitar ...

| | Katastrophe Fault, Lies & Faultlines CD (2005)
Chapter 7 Instrumentals album
$10.75 katastrophe (aka rocco kayiatos) is an up-and-coming, genre-busting, emo-hop mc, whose stunning lyrical skills merge with beats that slide from slick to raw to solid to eccentric, creating a sonic otherworld that snags you in a dance-trance while teasing your head with rhymes that snap, pop and educate.with a background of slam poetry, (katastrophe was a featured youth slam performer in the acclaimed documentary poetic license), katastrophe's mc delivery veers from clever machine gun rat-a-tat to hypnotic emotional rhythm, and on his heavily anticipated second release, fault, lies, and faultlines, explores new melody.recently crowned producer of the year by out music awards, katastrophe's beats rev and surprise, inspired by the grime craze and emo scene as well as both traditional and underground hip hop. a hybrid sound that challenges genre, katastrophe fills his layered beats with lyics that rif on pop culture, slide into personal revelation, call bullshit on contemporary culture, offer a ...

| | Abstrakt Intellekt Hip Hop Experience CD (2007)
Chapter 7 Instrumentals music CDs
$13.15 When you define Hip-Hop, what do you think of? Years of culture, heritage and history. Thats exactly what Abstrakt Intellekt stands for. Consisting of Mike King and DamoSport, A.I has been a staple of the Detroit hip hop for the past 3 or 4 years. The group is currently preparing their sophomore album, Fear and Loathing in Detroit, for a fall release. Founded in 1999,Abstrakt Intellekt is a group from the outskirts of the Detroit who have paid their dues for some time now.Damian and Mike met through a mutual friend in the Detroit music scene. The chemistry clicked immediately and Damian invited Mike to guest appear on a demo tape that he was cutting. That Sh*t was recorded at Ground Zero Studios (now defunct) in fall of 1999. The demo, which was called "DamoSport Illmatterz 4 bystanderz"which was never officially released, due to production scheduling problems and financial difficulties. So with one project on the shelf, Damian looked to a friend to start over fresh. In February of 2000, Damian and Mike began work on their new group, Abstrakt Intellekt. Mike was a veteran of the music scene, recording for years with Mike E. Clark (I.C.P, Kid Rock, Esham, George Clinton) so after they finished their first track "tha Abstrakt", they immediately brought their new idea to Mike Clark. Mike was extremely impressed with the group and signed them to a one-album deal immediately. Production began in spring of 2000 on Abstrakt Intellekt's debut album, First Contact. Featuring Hush (Geffen Records), Paradime (Beats at Will Records, and Kid Rocks ...
