Harp and Vocals: KATIE BRENNANElectric Bass: TYLER ORRDrums: SHANE WILSON"Her voice... a warm honey rasp, sings contemporary stories based on folklore and philosopy." -Jen Gibson, Manhattan Times"Highly recommended for fans of metaphorically-inclinedchanteuses like Feist and Neko Case." -Alan Young, TRIFECTAgram, NYC KATIE BRENNAN was raised in rural western Washington, where she learned to sing, play piano and harp. She grew up listening to folk-singer/song-writers like Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan, while learning to play classically. She began writing songs late in her training and developed a method of playing harp and singing formed around those folk-rock songs. TYLER ORR's distinctive style at the bass gives Analogue Girl's title song it's funky edge, while his melodic approach to ballads like "Back Home" gives the album a richness that leaves the listener wanting more. With SHANE WILSON on drums, each song has the kind of familiar quality which allows listeners to hum along at first sitting. Brennan, Katie & The Holy Bones Analogue Girl Songs | 1. | Back Home |

Analogue Girl album
$14.45 After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's BLACK CADILLAC, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash -- all of whom passed within a two-year span -- one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level of bleakness, but with THE LIST, it's immediately clear that she has instead found a more measured place to stand. It's a lovely and redemptive outing that looks back to go forward. When Cash turned 18, her father, alarmed that his daughter only knew the songs that were getting played on the radio, gave her a list of what ...
| | Them Crooked Vultures CD (2009)
Analogue Girl CD music
$13.05 Often, supergroups wind up dominated by one particular personality - think Eric Clapton in Derek & the Dominos, Jack White in the Raconteurs -- which makes the egalitarianism of Them Crooked Vultures all the more remarkable. Of course, when it comes down to it, it's a group of three natural-born collaborators: John Paul Jones, the old studio pro who gravitated toward provocative partners after Led Zeppelin's ...

Analogue Girl album
$11.39 Misguided YouthInstrumentation:John Weidel - VocalsGeorge Andrikokus - Guitar/Sax/VocalsJoe Plazak - Guitar/VocalsDickie Lavergne - BassBrian Collins - DrumsBiography:Misguided Youth formed in 1997 in Chicago's Western suburbs and has continued evolving their unique sound ever since. They are 5 separate musicians that when combined give us a unique blend of music with an edge that's all their own, guaranteed to rip up the Chicago music scene. They have the vision to mix the masterful sounds of Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Hard Rock, and even a Groove of Hip Hop. If you enjoy undeniable talent and a unique sound that pays respect to where it came from, then check out this band.Lead VocalsJohn Weidel is a born entertainer, see just one show and he proves it. The raw energy he brings is second to none and ignites fans. At the age of 4 he began imitating the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, but with a little more testosterone. He witnessed the explosion of hiphop and rap which started his wheels turning. He also had influence from his Uncle's Salsa and Reggae band giving him exposure to different genres of music. At 14 he got his first electric guitar and traded it to George his step-brother and Lead Guitarist of Misguided Youth, for a drum kit. They began to crank out whatever cover-tunes they could with John handling the singing duties as he does today. Guitar/Sax/vocalsGeorge Andrikokus began his musical career teaching himself on the piano at the age of 5. Once he got into grammar school he started playing various wind instruments in the school band, finally settling on his favorite one in high school, the Sax. At the same time he taught himself to play the electric guitar and seemed a gifted natural. George is still a talented 2 instrument musician playing his electric guitar and turning out methodical licks on his Sax in the Elmhurst College Jazz Band. After having the pleasure of listening to him play either instrument, fans are happy that George traded away his drum set and moved on to his current instruments. BassDickie Lavergne gives Misguided Youth some wicked funk on the bass. His interest was captured when he heard music coming from a house in his neighborhood. Not being shy, he investigated the sounds to find an unmanned keyboard and joined the guys by using it to fill in the bass riffs and he was sold. Soon after he purchased his first 4 string bass and began taking lessons from the one and only Funk/R&B bassist Bill Dickens. Today Dickie puts those lessons to use for the band wielding his bass like no other. DrumsBrian Collins auditioned for the band one time, and one time was all it took. With hands of lightning and coordination of a drummer reminiscent of a certain drummer from Rush, the guys ...
| | Record Cellar 1989-2006 Town And Country CD (2006)
Analogue Girl CD music
$21.49 I started a record label in 1989 called Record Cellar in order to support a band called 'Flight of Mavis'.I believed in the artist. I believed in the songs. There was no formal plan for the label, just a passion to champion something that was becoming too difficult to ignore and walk away from. The pull was strong. I was never out there looking, but over time a number of similar senarios developed, always triggered by great songs from talented "Philadephia Area" artists. I have had the good fortune to be able to be part of the music of Frank Brown with 'Flight of Mavis' and 'Buzz Zeemer', Richard Kaufmann and Kevin Karg with the' Rolling Hayseeds', Gerry McGoldrick with 'Napalm Sunday','Emily Valentine',and 'Solid for Sixty', Darren Schlappich with 'Frog Holler', Jonathan Houlon with 'John Train' ,Mike Brenner with 'The Low Road 'and 'John Train', and Chris Madl who is 'Chet Delcampo'. Together,we were able to build a national profile for the artist, the label, and the city as we would become a well respected, critically acclaimed "Americana-Roots Rock" record label. Our catologue lists 22 CDS including this 3 CD-50 song compilation which features 40 catologue songs and 10 new ones. As of the date of release, December 12,2006, the new ones have never been available ...

| | Steuart Liebig Locustland CD (2007)
Analogue Girl album
$12.69 Steuart Liebig calls his group the Mentones, as the muscular alto sax of Tony Atherton pummels its way over a power trio of Joseph Beradi's hard-hitting drums, Bill Barrett's chromatic harmonica, and the leader's volcanic contrabass guitar. Liebig's sophisticated writing sets the tone with a rock-infused beat that pounds relentlessly. On "Mojave Boxcar," to cite an example, ...
