Welcome To The Afterall album
$14.38 Glitter and Doom Live, a double-disc set, marks Tom Waits' third live effort in his nearly 40-year career, each one summing up his career to the point of its release. The first, Nighthawks at the Diner issued in 1975 on Asylum, is regarded by many as one of the greatest live albums of all time. The second was Big Time, released during his tenure at Island in 1986. The musical performances on disc one of Glitter and Doom Live were culled from Waits' historic sold-out tour of the U.S. and Europe. He compiled and sequenced the set himself, intending to make them sound like a single show. The material leans, understandably, on his recordings with the Anti label. There are stellar performances here, such as "Get Behind the Mule" from The Mule Variations, "Trampled Rose" from Real Gone, and a haunting version of Leadbelly's "Fannin Street" from Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards, to mention just three of the 17 cuts here. But he goes back to his Island albums too. For instance, ...

| | Doris Day Sentimental Journey: Legend At Her Best CDs (2002) Boxed Set
Welcome To The Afterall music CDs
$126.39 SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY compiles several original Doris Day albums on Columbia reissued as Collectables 2-for-1 CDs including: DAY BY DAY (1956)/DAY BY NIGHT (1967); LOVE HIM! (1963)/SHOWTIME (1960); ON MOONLIGHT BAY (1951)/BY THE LIGHT OF THE SILVERY MOON (1953); TEA FOR TWO (1950)/LULLABY OF BROADWAY (1951); CUTTIN' CAPERS (1959)/BRIGHT & SHINY (1961); I'LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS (1951)/CALAMITY JANE (1953); SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY (1965)/LATIN FOR LOVERS (1965); WHAT EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW (1960)/I HAVE DREAMED (1961) plus the original soundtracks THE PAJAMA GAME (1957) and JUMBO (1957).
Including soundtracks of films in which she starred, Doris Day released about 30 newly recorded LPs on Columbia Records between 1949 and 1965, the first third of which were 10" records and the rest 12" ones. Collectables Records has been reissuing these discs, often as two-fers, over the past few years, and this box set collects ten of them together. Eighteen of Day's albums are included for a total of 187 tracks and a running time of over nine and a half hours. (You might expect the running time to be longer, but three of discs each combine two 10" albums, so they still aren't very long, and two contain single soundtracks at regular LP length.) The early albums are often tied into Day's light movie musicals of the early '50s, such as On Moonlight Bay and By the Light of the Silvery Moon, though ...

$11.49 Music to Walk the Labyrinth: Synthesizer Music for the Inner Journey.Richard ShulmanThis music was spontaneously composed and performed at a Labyrinth Walk sponsored by the Labyrinth Project of Connecticut, Inc. A labyrinth is a particular kind of maze with only one pathway leading to and from its center. There are no choices and you cannot get lost in it.Labyrinths offer an opportunity for walking meditation and can be seen as metaphors for life. Music to Walk the Labyrinth is a continuous 47-minute synthesizer improvisation, created and performed specifically to enhance this experience.Composed, performed and recorded by Richard Shulman April 23, 1999 at the First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, CT. | | Ed Vogelsang Comin' Home CD (2006)
Welcome To The Afterall album
$10.15 I was born in 1948 on Long Island, New York. I got my first electric guitar for Christmas 1954. I started writing songs in 1970 while in the army and stationed in northern Thailand. I have been fortunate to have collaborated with some talented songwriters: Vince Stromboli, Jim Dorr, Lester Spittel, Bob Bearden, Gary Orem and Keith Jones."Comin' Home" is special because it is my first solo project. Writing and producing the songs was a joy as was adding "How Long Have You Been There" for a cover. I'm looking forward ...
