| | Poison Look What The Cat Dragged In: 20th Anniversary Edition CD - Import Poison Discography of CDs
Poison's glam-metal benchmark LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN was reissued in 2006, 20 years after its original release. With three bonus tracks tacked on for good measure (including the early demo "Don't Mess Around With Jim") the album sounds as gloriously sleazy as ever.
Poison's debut album takes cues from Kiss and Def Leppard, combining anthemic pop hooks and rebellious street-tough posturing to create a distinctive sound and image. These rowdy rockers have taken glam metal to the next level and produced a masterpiece for reckless youth the world over. While the band members have taken much flack for their girlish looks, it's their music that ultimately tells the tale. And it is the band's conviction that gives this album its enduring appeal.
"Cry Tough" proclaims the sheer desire and will needed to make your dreams come true. "I Want Action" and "Talk Dirty To Me" are prime head-banging singalongs that sailed straight into the Top 10. "I Won't Forget You" is a classic power ballad. "Let Me Go To The Show" tells of a teenager's desire to attend his first (Poison?) concert, while the title track is a tale of excessive partying and the consequences the day after. Poison's penchant for good time party music paid off. CAT has sold over three million copies.

Look What The Cat Dragged In: 20th Anniversary Edition
$13.49 The dissonant, trebly guitar noodling combined with detuned sub-riffing known as nu-metal sneaks into the always-evolving aggro of Living Sacrifice on the group's sixth release, The Hammering Process. Though perhaps considered a suspicious shift by their underground metal fans, this subtle transformation works for a unit used to combining the best elements of metal's many ...

Look What The Cat Dragged In: 20th Anniversary Edition
$11.35 "Metropolis Part I," a track featured on Dream Theater's breakthrough, IMAGES AND WORDS, left many progressive rock enthusiasts with what seemed like another unfinished chapter in a story never to be completed. Seven years and five albums later, Dream Theater returned to its majestic beginnings with METROPOLIS PART II--SCENES FROM A MEMORY. Keyboard virtuoso Jordan Rudess, who was a logical replacement for Derek Sherinian, revitalized the band's sound. Rudess's collaboration with guitarist John Petrucci and drummer ...
| | Living Sacrifice Conceived In Fire CD (2002)
Look What The Cat Dragged In: 20th Anniversary Edition
$13.49 Of all the metalcore bands that have come and gone over the span of the genre's history, Living Sacrifice has remained a band who never showed a sign of weakness. This is a band who, time and time again, release superior metal albums, always providing above-average albums over their decade as a band. Many proclaimed 2000's The Hammering Process as the group's ultimate release, and, in fact, one of the genre's best offerings that year. Those who doubted Living Sacrifice had the ability to deliver an album of that magnitude ever again, much less on the heels of The Hammering Process' surprising cult success, need only listen to Conceived in Fire. Once again, Living Sacrifice have outdone themselves, serving up some of the meatiest metalcore of 2002 with confidence and style. The ...

Look What The Cat Dragged In: 20th Anniversary Edition
$10.75 At the time, being the first of the many semi-official bootlegs and live releases that Swans put out over the years, Feel documents the 1987 European tour for Children of God, recorded quite well on a professional walkman by the band's sound engineer. The track list exclusively focuses on Children material, so the album has much of the same general variety as its parent release, though all of the edges are a little rougher. "Blood and Honey," for example, maintains the synth-string arrangements from the album as well as Jarboe's low, haunting vocals, but the louder instrumental breaks have a stronger power here. In the meantime, already overpowering songs like "New Mind" and "Beautiful Child" rage all that much harder in a live arena, with Gira holding little back, ...
