Celtic Ladies CD music

| | Celtic Woman Christmas Celebration CD (2006) Digipak; Special Edition
Celtic Ladies music CDs
$16.49 Their 2005 debut album stayed at number one in the Billboard World Music Chart for a record-breaking 68 weeks, and they won over the world with their breathtaking harmonies and exciting live shows. To follow up on this success, Máiréad, Méav, Orla, Lisa, and Chloe went into the studio to record a collection of classic Christmas songs (including "O Holy Night," "Silent Night," and "The Little Drummer Boy") sung with an extra dollop of poignancy and good humor.
Manhattan's 15-track holiday compilation Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration features traditional yuletide classics like "Away in a Manger," "Little Drummer Boy," "O Holy Night," and "Silent Night" sung by some of the genre's loveliest sirens and accompanied by the occasional harp, cello, violin, and keyboard. Fans of Enya and Clannad will find this relaxing collection to be a nice addition to their ...
| | Tartan Chillout Album CD (2003)
Celtic Ladies songs
$11.99 It all depends on how you chill out, really. If your idea of relaxing Scottish music involves traditional airs on the bagpipe, then this is a chillout album. While the idea might seem hokey and geared at the tourist market, there is no denying the fact that the pipers are superb, and they can send a chill down the spine on "Flowers of the Forest." But the "Braveheart Trilogy" and ...

| | Best Of Clannad: In A Lifetime CD (2004)
Celtic Ladies CD music
$8.99 With over ten different greatest-hits collections to choose from, Irish legends Clannad seem poised to surpass their number of full-length releases. RCA's Best of Clannad: In a Lifetime is a fairly standard overview that touches on fan favorites, collaborations, and songs from films, once again omitting any material from their first four -- largely traditional -- recordings. While ...

| | Jeannie Kendall CD (2003)
Celtic Ladies songs
$14.79 Although this has turned out to be the solo debut from veteran country artist Jeannie Kendall, it didn't start out that way. The project started in 1998 as an acoustic, bluegrass-inflected effort by both Kendall and her father Royce, who had been performing and recording together as the Kendalls since the 1970s. But Royce died not long after the sessions began, and the incomplete recordings were shelved for several years while Kendall took time off. When she returned to the studio to finish the album, she brought with her a host of friends and fans to help out; these include Alan Jackson (who contributes nice harmony vocals on "Timeless and True Love"), Rhonda Vincent, Alison Krauss (along with various members of Union Station), and Ricky Skaggs. But the best and, of course, most touching moments on the record are those in which Kendall is accompanied by the voice of her late father -- especially on the gorgeous "Train of Thought" and an otherwise rather workmanlike version of "I Wonder Where You Are Tonight." Jeannie Kendall's voice, always a joy to hear, has mellowed nicely as she's aged, and her solo debut treads a nice middle ground between new sounds and old, and between acoustic and electric flavors. Highly recommended. ~ Rick Anderson

| | Ishur Ninku Contemplation (A Collection) CD (2006)
Celtic Ladies music CDs
$9.35 Ishur Ninku began as an outlet. I needed to express the moods and textures that were swimming through my head. I thought this would be a one time thing... In the summer of 2000, I wrote the first two Ishur Ninku songs ("The Mystic" and "Shroud"). I really had no idea then, that I would actually complete a full length CD, much less a followup! The Self Titled first Ishur Ninku CD (S/T) was the result of painless hours spent with sequencers, guitars, and anything else I could lay a hand on. It was simply the most pleasureful recording I've ever done. Rarely does the recording process go so smoothly and offer so little stress. With S/T, I was really listening to a lot of stuff with an Eastern vibe. I had also been reading a lot of materials on the Ancients and various prophetic utterings. Inspiration would come, and I would happily pursue it. An outlet... Well maybe not anymore. In 2003 I felt the urge to write and record another Ishur Ninku CD called Shiva (the "i" is pronounced like the word "shiver" - the word is from the Jewish funeral ritual). It is darker, more brooding, and maybe a little more atmospherical than S/T. In fact, I may have been listening to too much Tangerine Dream while writing it! Shiva featured a more textured and ambient approach. It's 2006 now and the legend continues. I have released S/T and Shiva on one CD called "Contemplation (A Collection)" (available right here at CD Baby). This compilation contains all songs from the first two CD's as well as two brand new, previously unreleased songs. Ishur Ninku is a means to temporarily escape the rock and roll style of my band Sombrance. It is an instrumental exploration into the electronic genre and a journey through ethnic, shoegazer, and ambient sounds. Peace Rick Mester-What are people saying about Ishur Ninku?I want to close my eyes and sit back and relax to the sound of these soothing beats.. Am loving the vocals especially in "The Dawn of RA." Meenu from California-----I am impressed with your music. | | Chingo Bling They Can't Deport Us All: Chopped & Screwed CD (2007) Chop
Celtic Ladies CD music
$12.49 On 2007's THEY CAN'T DEPORT US ALL, Mexican-American rapper Chingo Bling (born Pedro Herrera III) shows off both his lyrical skills and his biting sense of humor. Although the album features guest shots by Paul Wall, Baby Bash, and other high-profile hip-hop artists, the Houston, Texas-based performer is at his best on his own, as with the fierce single "Like This and Like That," which defiantly takes on American misconceptions about Mexicans.
Coming from the southeast side of Houston, Chingo is known for his 'ghetto ingenuity.' His 10 gallon hat, Nike swooshed ostrich boots, and Mexican flag inspired diamond grill, not only make him original but very hard t o miss. ...
