Jerry Lee Lewis Last Man Standing CD (2006) Top Seller
Long Road Home: In Concert buy CD music Around the time of his 71st birthday, rock-&-roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis unveiled LAST MAN STANDING, a celebratory outing that features a stunning cast of guest musicians, ranging from B.B. King and Little Richard to Merle Haggard and Neil Young. Among the many highlights of this album are Lewis's lively collaboration with guitarist Jimmy Page on Led Zeppelin's "Rock N' Roll," a rendition that wonderfully plays up the tune's 1950s leanings, and the Killer's honky-tonk spin on Hank Williams's "Lost Highway," which points to his often-overlooked country recordings and features Delaney Bramlett's searing six-string work. Like the latter-day recordings of his old Sun labelmate Johnny Cash, this Lewis collection points to a remarkable legacy, while also displaying his still-formidable talents, resulting in a musical testament to aging impressively well.
Personnel: Jerry Lee Lewis (vocals, piano); Keith Richards, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, Buddy Guy (vocals, guitar); Delaney Bramlett, Don Henley, George Jones, John Fogerty, Kid Rock, Little Richard, Merle Haggard, Mick Jagger, Neil Young, Ringo Starr, Rod Stewart, Toby Keith, Bruce Springsteen (vocals); Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jimmy Rip, Kenny Lovelace, Robbie Robertson (guitar); Ron Wood (pedal steel guitar); Ivan Neville (organ); Butch Hutchinson (bass guitar); Jim Keltner (drums).

Deja Vu All Over Again CD (2004) Top Seller
Long Road Home: In Concert CD music Attention rock & roll fans! Presenting John Fogerty -- the name you know, the music you trust -- in a new, improved 2004 version! DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN contains tunes that admirers of classic rock can appreciate, like the old-school acoustic blues-rock of "Honey Do." The record features themes reminiscent of Fogerty's heyday, particularly the quasi-political title track. And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, there's Mark Knopfler laying down those "Sultans of Swing" licks on "Nobody's Here Anymore." Owing a lot to Creedence Clearwater Revival circa PENDULUM, the DEJA VU of the album's title feels more like a summing up. The crispy riffs of "She's Got Baggage" and the Cream-y "In the Garden" may rock harder, leaner, and cleaner than anything Fogerty has ever done, but "Rhubarb Pie" and "I Will Walk with You" have a feel reminiscent of Fogerty's BLUE RIDGE RANGERS album. Elsewhere, the "Wicked Old Witch" could be the wife of Fogerty's earlier "The Old Man Down the Road." Fortunately, this all adds up to the kind of familiarity that breeds anything but contempt, making DÉJA VU a warm reminder of this rock & roll giant's gift.

Long Road Home: The Ultimate John Fogerty/Creedence Collection CDs (2005)
Long Road Home: In Concert album for sale In 2005, John Fogerty re-signed with Fantasy Records, the label of his legendary former band, Creedence Clearwater Revival. Given Fogerty's tumultuous history with the company, this reunion proved to be especially significant, and allowed for the first retrospective of the revered performer's entire career. With its non-linear order, THE LONG ROAD HOME chronicles the winding path of Fogerty's artistic output over its 25 tracks, ranging from Creedence's late-1960s/early-'70s material (the swampy "Born on a Bayou," the wistful "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?") to Fogerty's successful mid-'80s work (the baseball anthem "Centerfield") to his late-'90s comeback (the revved-up "Hot Rod Heart"). Since THE LONG ROAD HOME focuses on Fogerty's own songs, a few beloved Creedence cover tunes (including "Suzie Q" and "I Put a Spell on You") are absent, but fans will be rewarded by energetic live versions of "Fortunate Son" and "Hey Tonight" that were recorded in 2005.

George Harrison Concert For Bangladesh CDs (1971)
Long Road Home: In Concert CD music Harrison, who organized the event, plays originals recorded with the Beatles ("While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Something"), and songs from his then-recent solo debut, ALL THINGS MUST PASS ("My Sweet Lord;" "Awaiting on You All"). There are dynamic solo turns by Leon Russell and Billy Preston, before Dylan emerges to steal the show with renditions of his classics ("Mr. Tambourine Man" and "Blowin' in the Wind"). Originally released as a three-LP set, CONCERT FOR BANGLADESH overflows with great music. At the time, it was an emblem for how popular music can raise consciousness about world issues and positively impact those situations. It remains such an emblem today.
This historical 1971 event set the template for every rock benefit concert that followed. A cast of all-star musicians, including Geroge Harrison, Ravi Shankar, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, and Bob Dylan, converged on New York City's Madison Square Garden to play and sing their hearts out, while all the proceeds from the concert went to aid Bengali refugees. Shankar's 17-minute-plus raga "Bangla Dhun" opens the set, as though evoking the voice of a part of the globe too-often overlooked by Westerners. Backed by Ali Akbar Kahn and Alla Rakha, Shankar's exquisitely nuanced performance is one of the show's highlights.
Personnel: George Harrison (vocals, guitar); Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan (vocals, guitar); Billy Preston (vocals, organ); Leon Russell (vocals, keyboards); Ringo Starr (vocals, drums); Jesse Ed Davis , Joey Molland (guitar); Pete Ham (acoustic guitar); Ravi Shankar (sitar); Jim Horn (saxophone); Klaus Voormann, Tom Evans , Carl Radle (bass instrument); Jim Keltner, Mike Gibbins (drums); Don Preston (background vocals).

Blue Moon Swamp CD (1997) Top Seller
Long Road Home: In Concert buy CD music BLUE MOON SWAMP won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album and was nominated for the 1998 Grammy for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. "Blueboy" was nominated for a 1998 Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.
On his first album in 11 years, CCR mastermind Fogerty comes charging out of the gate with undiminished authority. BLUE MOON SWAMP is full of the straight-ahead roots-rock that made Creedence a legend. It's rumored that the recording of this album was painstakingly slow, with Fogerty spending months to get the right drum and guitar sound for each track. It's the mark of a true craftsman that for all it's intensive production and the large cast of guests, BLUE MOON SWAMP still sounds like Fogerty just ambled into the studio with a few pals and laid it all down.
While there are a few stylistic diversions, like the Tex-Mex-flavored "Bring It Down To Jelly Roll," the bulk of the material is virtually identical in approach and tone to that of Fogerty's glory days. The amazing thing is that he never sounds tired or stale. If anything, he sounds more self-assured and powerful than on his previous solo outings. When Fogerty trots out the tremolo-guitar intro to "A Hundred And Ten In The Shade," you can feel the pure, blues-inflected rock and roll inspiration that lies at the heart of his finest work.
