| | Devin Townsend Addicted CD (2009)
At Least We Will Die Together songs
$13.09 Devin Townsend's maniacal/wacky tendencies duel with his instinct for skull-crushing heaviness on ADDICTED, the second in a planned trilogy of albums he's put together since retiring his ultimate metal band, Strapping Young Lad, a few years back. Anneke van Giersbergen, formerly of the Gathering, is Townsend's vocal partner throughout much of the album, creating a Lacuna Coil-esque effect as he roars and she croons and the guitar riffs ride almost disco- and techno-like rhythms. "Bend It Like Bender" is a particularly weird blend of metal and Hi-NRG, something Rammstein might come up with after a weekend ...

At Least We Will Die Together CD music
$18.15 All of the music on this collection is from the films of Satyajit Ray including some compositions by the director himself.
Satyajit Ray, one of the most revered Indian filmmakers was a multifaceted man. In addition to his work for the screen, he was a talented artist and composer who wrote music for many of his own films. The Master Works offers pieces from a number of his films, such as "Devi." Some, like "Aparajito" (from the Apu trilogy), are little more than snippets, but there's plenty of compensation in the epic of "Jalsaghar," which runs over 23 minutes. But while this is Indian film music, it shouldn't ...
| | Exciter New Testament CD (2004)
At Least We Will Die Together music CDs
$5.95 Most would agree that Canadian thrashers Exciter were short-changed by the speed metal gods during their 1980s heyday. Worthy contributors to the genre's early development, their legacy was nevertheless completely overshadowed by the likes of Metallica and Slayer, who went on to fame and fortune while Exciter were duly forgotten. Still, cruel fate's unfair selection methods hardly warrant an obvious cash-in like 2004's New Testament -- a collection of Exciter's metal-thrashing classics (and some of their latter-day, not-so-classics) recut in the studio by the group's latest incarnation of founding guitarist John Ricci and late-'90s regulars Jacques Belanger (vocals) and Rick Charron (drums). Then again, a man's gotta eat (and in Exciter's case, also maintain expensive Spinal Tap-like hair pieces) and it's only fair that these aging but hard-working veterans be allowed to reap the fruits of their life's work, right? With all that in mind, New Testament offers an interesting assortment of rehashed "hits" from the extensive Exciter catalog -- so long as they featured Ricci, who was himself absent from the group for a seven-year period. Thankfully, this only encompassed ...

At Least We Will Die Together album
$9.85 Kristine's newest album "She Doesn't Live There Anymore" is a wonderful collection of songs about hope and moving on, and features the acclaimed song: 'Speaking For Animals', recently performed at the Benefit Concert at the Vancouver East Cultural Center. If you like Sarah McLachlan and Norah Jones, this CD is for you.Alex Browne of the Peace Arch News writes: '!My hat is off to Theurer!who has produced music and lyrics which are everything one looks for ..... sophisticated yet accessible; haunting yet hummable! so far above the conventional as to be virtually beyond criticism". Marke Andrews of the Vancouver Sun writes "...a cool and confident jazz stylist". Check it out, you'll fall in love. Kristine's first CD "Take Off Your Shoes" has mapped this singer/songwriter's gradual progression from soft jazz songs like "Someone Else's Dream", placing in the international song contest UNISONG in the top ten percent out of 4,200 entries from over 45 countries around the world, to radio friendly pop songs like the "Mango Song", which was chosen for the theme music of the radio talk show "The Natural Facts" airing weekly on CFUN, one of ...
