Fabio High Above The Clouds CD

Fabio Goran, composer, pianist and songwriter. Born in Yugoslavia and graduated with M.A.Degree from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Music.During his early stage, he conducted a children’s choir and was engaged in lots of ethnomusicological discoveries in order to learn more about his true passion - harmony.His early works are based on harmonies of the old Balkan traditions, with strong rhythmical and vocal elements from neighbors - Hungarian, Romanian, Greek and Turkish music.Traveling and giving piano concerts was important for him as a new motivation and new experience. Concerts in Oslo, Nicosia, Malta and all over ex-Yugoslavia will be remembered.His Talent for music was fully appreciated in Poland where he spendt two years of his life. Polish culture, language and especially Chopin’s music inspired him for composing sonata “Fantasia Varsovia”. This sonata brought him to Nicosia – Cyprus, where Fabio had a special TV show.Fabio immigrated to Canada and found his place in Toronto and then in Montreal, where he still lives and works. While giving a lot of charity concerts, and composing, Fabio also works as a flight attendant for one of Canadian Charter Airlines. The beautiful scenes through the airplanes’ windows have always been his endless inspiration.He started composing music and writing lyrics on board, during his flights. That is how “ High above the Clouds” was born. Each song has an airport code, which tells us on which flight that song was composed.He says it in his own words:“Music for this CD has been born through the interaction of the loving energy of a multitude of people and places whose vibrations spurred my imaginations. Each one of my friends is a special note on the music sheet composed to celebrate the great rhapsody of love, and the biggest treasure ever-friendship.”Fabio’s world is a world of beauty. He believes in love and he loves each one of his friends and cares about them. Every song has a moment of love and speaks for itself in its own musical words. There are four additional voices for this CD, as Fabio says,”angels”, who are there to make those songs even more romantic.Sylvie Duguay, soft soprano voice in the song Tes yeux, Hayley Ordiway, with her beautiful voice and strong vibrato in songs 2 and 7,Frederique Fournier in song I Wish gave us a chills with her deep contra-alto combined with a cabaret-style touch, and Sylviane Lablanc, songs 2 and 9 with hers touching, deep, almost whispering voice.CD High Above the Clouds was launched in Montreal 17 of May 2006, in a Cherry Loft Club. The atmosphere was great with almost one hundred people who came there to enjoy the celebration of his music.On May 28 Fabio went to Kitchener’s famous Gallery Bolero Restaurant and club, where he performed in a fully packed space. His guests were Sidney with her guitar and great song, and Hayley With Sylviane and John on Guitar.This CD is for everyone who loves good music. There is gentle European touch in each and every song. Lyrics are about love, and each one of the songs are there to make you feel good, to make your evening or day even better.
