| | Ted Russell Kamp Nashville Fineline CD Ted Russell Kamp Discography of CDs
11 songs, Rock and Roll, Country. Fun, Sad, Outrageous. Bar band-y. Intimate. Most of these songs were written and recorded on the road. On tour buses. In hotel rooms. In random studios around the country. And at home in the living roomThis is a record of songs written by Ted while he's been out on the road playing bass with Shooter Jennings. Most of the songs were written with Nashville co-writers. So a lot of these might be a little closer to 'mainstream country' than Ted's other records. It's all part of the experiment and challenge of Music Row and Nashville: walking the fine line of writing in ways that are accessible and commercial, but also have depth, and heart, and soul. A lot of the co-writers are very well respected and have written numerous hits for many different artists. They have all walked the line Ted is walking here, and they've all become good friends.Enjoy.

Nashville Fineline
$14.29 If you're going to have a career in music, it's important to know what your strengths and weaknesses are. Being great at one thing doesn't automatically mean a person is great (or even competent) at another; the history of music is full of excellent guitarists, bassists, drummers, and horn players who turned out to be mediocre or lousy vocalists when -- for whatever reason -- they decided to take up singing. But Larry Taylor has no problem making the transition from ...

| | Richard Shindell Sparrows Point CD (1992)
Nashville Fineline
$14.45 Though he would come to notoriety in the late '90s through Joan Baez and Dar Williams' cover versions of his songs, and his participation in Cry, Cry, Cry, a trio including Williams and Lucy Kaplansky, Shindell seemed to come out of nowhere with 1992's SPARROW'S POINT. His rich baritone is reminiscent of John Gorka (with whom Shindell played in a college group), and his dark, poetic songs show the influence of Richard Thompson and Leonard Cohen.
Nevertheless, Shindell is a complete original, and this debut shows an artist already fully formed, thanks in part to an apprenticeship on the do-or-die New York ...

| | Framing Hanley Moment CD (2008) Deluxe Edition; Enhanced CD
Nashville Fineline
$14.05 Moment by Framing Hanley welds earnest emo gestures to heavy-edged modern rock, coming off somewhere on the spectrum between Incubus' post-grunge alt rock and Fall Out Boy's cresting emo attack. (The Nashville band could also safely be compared to 30 Seconds to Mars.) The lead single ...
