Keepers Of Freakuencies album
$9.09 Joe Walsh's long and varied career has had its ups and downs, to say the least. Here, you see Walsh in good old rock form. The opening track, "Things," pretty much defines it all: drum beat intro, a simple riff kicks in, a few synths, and then Walsh's lead -- it's this simple formula that gives the album its charm. This is early '80s rock in its most entertaining and fun form. Walsh's lead guitar is, as always, breathtaking. The rock legend's trademark sound is prominently featured throughout the album, and undoubtedly here ...

| | Young Gunz Tough Luv CD (2004)
Keepers Of Freakuencies music CDs
$11.99 Young Chris and Neef, the Philadelphia duo who make up Young Gunz, are just emerging from their teens, yet the pair betray hip-hop wisdom far beyond their years on their highly anticipated debut, TOUGH LUV. The two were showcased as part of Beanie Sigel's State Property crew, and managed to stand out in a talented crowd, scoring a most-deserved hit from the excellent STATE PROPERTY VOL. 2 with the playful "Can't Stop, Won't Stop." TOUGH LUV contains a fun, funky remix of that song (featuring Chingy), along with 16 other lyrically skilled tracks of varying styles and shades.
The tag Young Gunz, while seemingly reflecting the violent world in which the duo grew up, is actually a reference to basketball, a fact revealed in both their lyrics and rhyming style. While the words are aggressive in a fun-loving, freewheeling manner, their rhymes are passed off from one to another in easy and inviting flows. After opening with a few modern R&B-infused anthems, Young Gunz kick back into a pitch-perfect ...

O.T.C. / New Era Release Notes...added 24/09/2004 4:02:45 PMReview Courtesy of http://www.psytrancereviews.btinternet.co.uk/Another outing from the usual Etnica.net suspects. More big rig tunage with long melodic runs and building riffs. BrainXL open with an ice-cream feel that adds a flake about midway through, Species step up the attack with some vicious synth stabs and distortion and general spookiness, Wrecked Machines give us more uninspired arpegiated keyboards over Waking Life samples and then Species remix Pleiadians' Alcyone. Hmmm, bit of a classic? Well here it is, polished for 2004 - seriously heavy underneath, and with those seriously twisted melodies in full force...we leave it to you to decide. Unison go for a squelchy synth workout and Etnica step up with Rings of Saturn which is dark and menacing in their best style until a final run which ruins the rest of it for me. Droidlock really mess with Our Perception in track 7 in a very accomplished sounding track with a commentary about reality. The philosopher will now expound: as the learned voice informs us it is ind eed the case that our perception influences the way our reality is experienced. That said, distorting influences such as Lucy may provide from the Sky (with Diamonds, for instance) can furnish us with a novel reality ...
