I had purchased this recording after reading of Kayhan Kalhor in the NY Times and was intrigued by his musical ethic.

When you listen to Kalhor and Erzincan you go into a meditative, transcendental state. This music touches your soul with warmth from the Middle East and the calmness that the people there really deserve but not ever seem to get.
