A Virtuosic Tour-de-Force for Hanslip From the first notes, it is evident that mastery of the violin is demanded by all of these compositions. The Coriliano Chaconne is a bravura piece that left me in awe of Ms Hanslip's technique and ability to make these pieces musical, yet retain their contemporary exuberance. The Waxman pieces are gems, especially the brief but fiery Roumanian Rhapsody movement. Recorded well, with a full sound and wide dynamic range.
