| | Dead Americans Boy Who Shot Out The Sun CD Dead Americans Discography of CDs
This is the first release from the Dead Americans-- a touring five-piece rock n' roll powerhouse based out of Eugene, Oregon. Featuring both male/female lead vocals, they've developed their own X meets the Dandy Warhols/ Jefferson Airplane meets Nirvana alt. rock/post punk style. Smart lyrics, great musicianship, and an ass-kicking live show full of eye candy. They've been described as a "Traveling Greek Festival of Music", as they keep the show going on and off the stage. They are a true party on wheels, and a breath of fresh air into the live music scene in a world plagued by corporate cheese rock and hapless posers. Join them in the fight for musical freedom as they slay the fakes with their fun-loving, anarchistic spirit and undeniably bad-ass rock sound!!!“The new album is AWESOME! I pretty much want to have sex with the second half of the album.” --Asher Fulero (Everyone Orchestra, Surrounded by Ninjas) “GREAT ALBUM, YOU GUYS!!!”--The Turntable Enabler (Eleven Eyes, Xenatra)“I hear everything I really liked about the Cave Dogs. Nice Stuff.”--Busholini “You guys f****n' ROCK!!! Your band's cerebral defiance is a much more mature response to these times than our brand of surrender.”--The Picture is Dead“Mesmerizing and eye-popping stage show”—The Eugene Weekly“The Dead Americans are hot, rocking, political, sexy, and multi-media--a legitimate contender for BEST band in Eugene, people.”--Mr. Random (local blogger)“The new stuff sounds REALLY good. You rocked my panties in a bunch Saturday…SEXY. I'm wearing your shirt with honor!” --Sassy (Alpha Dahlia)To find out more about the recording and The Dead Americans, you can visit their myspace page at: www.myspace.com/thedeadamericans. Boy Who Shot Out The Sun album
$9.58 Susan Boyle's grand unveiling on Britain's Got Talent was with a song from Les Miserables - the very song that lends this album its title -- and if she could become an international sensation based on a show tune standard, there's no reason for her to change her approach on her debut, since that's the sound that made her a star. Plus, a large part of Boyle's appeal is that she's a middle-aged woman recalling a bygone era when there were singers that appealed to an adult audience by offering soft, stately versions of pop hits and standards. That time was the late `60s and early `70s, and apart from a rather faithful version of Madonna's "You'll See," I Dreamed a Dream could very well have been released all those years ago, as it mixes up the show tunes, gospel, and Christmas carols with covers of Skeeter Davis' "The End of the World," the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses," and a version of "Daydream Believer" that is easily the slowest on record. Boyle sings beautifully throughout, delivering more of the same of what she did in her moment in the sun on television. ...

| | Lady Gaga Fame Monster CD (2009)
Boy Who Shot Out The Sun music CDs
$8.79 Initially planned solely as a standard double-disc reissue in the wake of the blockbuster success of The Fame, Lady Gaga decided to release the new material as a separate EP called The Fame Monster in addition to the standard two-CD set, where it's tacked onto a now standardized version of her debut. It's a nice move for fans, plus it helps emphasize the new material, which does act as a bridge from the debut to a forthcoming full-length. Everything on The Fame Monster bears a galvanized Eurotrash finish, as evident on the heavy steel synths of "Bad Romance" and the updated ABBA revision "Alejandro," as it is on the rock & roll ballad "Speechless" -- its big guitars lifted from Noel Gallagher -- and the wonderful, perverse march "Teeth." Even the stuttering splices on "Telephone," a duet with Beyoncé, leans to the other side of the Atlantic, which just emphasizes the otherness that's become Gaga's calling card. And even as she's becoming omnipresent, with her songs mingling with those who ...

Boy Who Shot Out The Sun CD music
$16.45 "...For all the emo mope-queens, disheveled darlings of dissonance, Debbie Downers and eight minute songs about unrequited puppy love, there’s at least one band out there that uses a strong hook to make a big splash. The band found itself in a good spot recently. After eight months in the studio, This Life Electric has just released their debut album, “Letters to the Muse.” It’s a courageous freshman effort that’s as sweet to the ears as it is timeless and honest. And the harmonies and hooks represent a page ripped out of a Brian Wilson study manual. From the sunny opener “It’s All Right,” the soulful “You Never Said Goodbye” to the Sgt. Pepper’s-esque “Fate,” TLE pays mind to dissecting tonal patterns, plugging harmonies and ultimately finding the right chord at the right time. There aren’t really any surprises or ironic twists. Intense moments build only to be barraged by a strong hook. The music is clever, but easily digestible..."-Insite Magazine (July 2006)This Life Electric was meant to be. Fate has seemingly brought together five musicians from across America with very different backgrounds to meet in Austin, Texas and become one. The result has been a fresh ...
