Purchase 15 Again CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Minutemen Double Nickels On The Dime CD (1984)
15 Again album
$13.69 The CD reissue of DOUBLE NICKELS ON A DIME includes 43 songs. Two songs have been deleted from the original LP to insure playback on all CD players.
Principally recorded at Radio Tokyo, Venice, California in November 1983 and April 1984. Originally issued as a 2-LP set.
This sprawling double-length release is the Minutemen's undisputed high-water mark, and one of the seminal platters of the post-punk, pre-grunge years. It perfectly encapsulates the strengths shown in their early works, then ups the ante. DOUBLE NICKELS runs the gamut from hardcore funk and honky-tonk to vaguely avant-garde experimentation, jazzy workouts, and a Steely Dan cover.
The level of songwriting has also been turned up several notches. The less-is-more aesthetic is still in effect--most songs last two minutes ...
| | Beyonce I Am...Sasha Fierce CD (2008) Bonus Track; Deluxe Edition
15 Again CD music
$9.58 I AM. SASHA FIERCE represents another change of pace for Beyoncé. Unlike the relatively streamlined, retro-soul inflected B'DAY, I AM... is a sprawling two-disc set designed to reflect two conflicting sides of Beyoncé's musical personality. The first disc sports reflective, sometimes moody ballads, while the second, attributed to Beyoncé's brash alter ego, Sasha Fierce, is loaded with propulsive dance-floor fillers. Except for this stylistic divide, I AM. pays only nominal attention to its supposed concept, focusing instead on a set of excellent, radio-ready songs--neatly avoiding the possibility of I AM. becoming some sort of Chris Gaines-style conceptual disaster. Though the second disc, which boasts the synth-drenched lead single, "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)," is more immediately gratifying, the impeccably produced ballads of the first disc represent a vast improvement on the often awkward torch songs that weighed down Beyoncé's first solo record.
In non-Deluxe Edition form, Beyoncé's third solo studio ...
| | Black Eyed Peas E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies) CD (2009)
15 Again music CDs
$10.59 Black Eyed Peas, the hip-hop crossover juggernaut that propelled singer Fergie and producer Will.I.Am to superstardom, have, since 2003's ELEPHUNK, been audaciously plugging away at their bombastic but lighthearted style of rap-cum-dance pop--an effort that has translated to a run of successful chart-topping singles including "My Humps," "Pump It," and "Don't Phunk with My Heart." ...
| | Leona Lewis Echo CD (2009)
15 Again songs
$11.18 The goal of Leona Lewis' 2007 debut, Spirit, was to prove that an X Factor winner could be a phenomenon not just in the U.K., but in the rest of the world. The goal of her second album, 2009's Echo, is to prove that success was no fluke, to build upon "Bleeding Love" and turn Lewis into an actual diva. Certainly, Echo in any of its incarnations -- its song listings are tailored for individual markets, with the U.K. getting a cover of Oasis' "Stop Crying Your Heart Out," while the U.S. gets a second song co-written by Justin Timberlake -- uses the chilly, synthesized "Bleeding Love" as its foundation, creating a sheet of sound equal parts Euro-pop and modern American R&B. As opposed to the often-stuffy Spirit, this is proudly modern, and if the sounds emanating from the two sides of the Atlantic might seem to be aesthetically opposed, they're both producer-driven music constructed layer by layer from rhythm to the vocal, where the overall sound matters more than what's being sung. Which isn't to say that Lewis doesn't sing the hell out of the songs on Echo: she has an uncanny gift for hitting impossible notes without seeming as if she's grandstanding. In fact, there's nary an ounce of diva in Lewis, she seems to enjoy singing for the sake of it, which helps her out on an album like Echo, where the melodies are elliptical, not catchy, ...

15 Again album
$17.05 Twenty-four slices of mostly upbeat, dance-oriented soul cuts released on Chess between 1961 and 1971, though all but two date from 1964-1969. It's peppy, well-produced stuff that, like most of Chess' soul, bears the influence of both Motown and the Windy City productions of Curtis Mayfield and Carl Davis. It'll please Northern soul collectors, though it's more pleasant than compelling. Includes ...
| | Here I Go Again: The Best Of Whitesnake CDs (2002) Remastered
15 Again CD music
$15.09 Recorded between 1984 & 1994. Includes liner notes by J.D. Ferien.
2002's two-CD Whitesnake compilation Here I Go Again: The Whitesnake Collection assembles remastered versions of all three of the band's biggest albums for Geffen -- 1984's Slide It In, 1987's blockbuster Whitesnake, and 1989's Slip of the Tongue -- as well as non-album mixes and B-sides. When vocalist David Coverdale first formed the band, Whitesnake didn't meet with much success in America; Slide It In changed that. It had a sleazy charm with killer tracks like the title cut, "Slow an' Easy," "Spit It Out," and the melodic, explosive "Love Ain't No Stranger." Whitesnake was a smash, and deservedly so thanks to the songs Coverdale and guitarist John Sykes wrote; it was more calculated and slick than Slide It In, but there's no denying the quality of "Here I Go Again," "Is This Love," or the Led Zeppelin homage/rip-off (you decide) "Still of the Night." The flaccid radio mix of "Here I Go Again" is included. The single version of "Give Me All Your Love" isn't as drastically removed from the original. The outtakes "You're Gonna Break My Heart Again," "Looking for Love," and "Sweet Lady Luck" appeared on 1994's Greatest Whitesnake. "Need Your Love So Bad," a Little Willie John cover, was a B-side with just Coverdale and keyboardist Bill Cuomo. Slip of the Tongue was largely a disaster. Since Adrian Vandenberg had suffered from a bizarre injury, hired gun Steve Vai played all the guitar parts and his flashy, technically gifted style ...

| | M C Unique Baptizm Of Fire CD (2000)
15 Again songs
$10.15 M.C. Unique is just as his name suggests: Unique. This is a man who has his head on straight. Success in the music industry takes more than talent and charisma (both of which M.C. Unique has more than enough) but as many of the has beens testify (namely M.C. Hammer, Vanilla Ice, and Marky Mark to name a few), success requires the strength of character, keen intelligence and fortitude like that of M.C. Unique. A star quality performer on stage, a business man off stage, and shaker in social circles, M.C. Unique has everything it takes to go all the way to the top. Watch out world, cause this Rappin' Wonder is comin atcha with the force of class 5 hurricane. Boomin' rhythms, original lyrics and intensity enough to set the world on fire, M.C. Unique is takin' 'em down! No one who has had the chance to spend any amount of time with him can dispute that claim. I stand by the ongoing success of this street wise poet and I suggest, if you want to be a part of something big, that you do tooThe album 'Baptizm Of Fire' is a truly groundbreaking album. It has the definite potential to be an underground classic. It is an 11 track journey into the mind of perhaps one of the most skilled/enthralling ...
