Tyrese Gibson, Meagan Good, Larenz Tate, and The Game star. Extras include deleted scenes, scene analysis, drive-by filmmaking, and music video by Black Buddafly featuring Fabolous. This sun scorched, bullet-blasted South Central L.A. story follows the car- and corpse-strewn trail of an ex-con turned security guard O2 (Tyrese Gibson), who gets carjacked while his son is still asleep in the backseat. The thugs hold the child for ransom, and O2 has 48 hours to come up with a hundred grand. His only lead in getting the kid back is Coco (Meagan Good) the cutie who distracted him at the traffic light. Together they bicker, fall in love, and launch a plan to take down a vicious gang leader named Meat (The Game) while they roll along on a bank-robbing spree. Director Vondie Curtis-Hall keeps the action humming and swathes his gritty South Central locations in a thick haze of urban grime and chaotic spontaneity, making it reminiscent of 1970s cult classics like BLACK CAESAR and THE WARRIORS. Tyrese is more than up for the job here as the tough but tender O2; he and the very sexy Meagan Good generate major onscreen chemistry. Larenz Tate plays O2's dope-head cousin, and Kimora Lee Simmons has a funny cameo as a fencer of hot designer dresses. Her husband, Russell Simmons, was one of the producers. Theatrical Release: June 23, 2006 Waist Deep Reviews: "Curtis Hall keeps slipping in surprising social and emotional flavourings rarely found in the genre." -- Grade: B

Waist Deep film
$6.09 FULL MOON was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary R&B Album.
The first couple of years of the 21st century proved to be a crowded field for photogenic young R&B-pop divas (Britney, Christina, Mya, the list goes on...). Many of these occupy a file in some folks' minds that's labeled "one-shot." FULL MOON serves to disprove such notions in the case of the in-it-for-the-long-haul siren Brandy. The album kicks off with a whisper, as the young songstress lets her voice gently caress the lush, balladic tones of the title track. Things kick into gear in short order though (on the very next tune, in fact) with "I Thought," where our girl lets her feelings of romantic disappointment out over a firm, funky backdrop full of heavy bass. By the time we reach the undulating "Can We," street-smart hip-hop influences have crept into the production aesthetic by way of squiggling synths and forceful beats. Throughout FULL MOON, whether she's belting it out or sneaking in the back door, Brandy lets her listeners know she's more than just a flash in the pan.
2002 album, featuring the single 'What About Us?'. 17 tracks.

| | Kylie Minogue Fever CD (2002)
Waist Deep review
$11.69 It's more than just journalistic shorthand to refer to Kylie Minogue as the European Madonna. She's been at it as long as the Material Girl, and her mix of sexy style and dance-pop sound is very much in league with that of her American counterpart. The catch here is that, while Minogue had previously only been a star in Europe, FEVER represents her American breakthrough. Not surprisingly, the sound of FEVER will appeal to fans of ...

Waist Deep movie DVD
$12.59 The overall feel of IN MY MIND falls somewhere between hip-hop and urban contemporary R&B, whether on the spare, electro-funk beats of "Keep It Playa" or the smooth, seductive groove of "Baby." A figure as in-demand as Pharrell can get just about any guest he wants, and the list for IN MY MIND is an impressive one: Slim Thug, Nelly, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, and Gwen Stefani, all of whom were Pharrell clients at one point or another, make ...

$8.79 Sometimes 17-year-old Rashad and his pals hang out at the Waffle House, trying to figure out what's next after they graduate. But on Sunday nights, they know what's coming. They'll be at the Cascade roller rink: laying down moves, chillin' with friends...and for a few hours leaving what's outside outside. ATL is a Sunday night fever of laughs, drama and crunk sounds. | | We Are Marshall DVD (2006) Full Frame
Waist Deep movie DVD
$8.79 In November 1970, a plane carrying almost the entire Marshall University football team, its staff and fans crashed, killing 75 people in all and devastating the small town of Huntington, West Virginia. WE ARE MARSHALL, directed by McG (THE O.C., FASTLANE) tells the tragic true story of how the university and the citizens of Huntington rebuilt the football program and dealt with the loss of so many of their own. The university's president, Donald Dedmon, earnestly portrayed by David Strathairn (GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK), hires the only willing coach to take on such a daunting task, Jack Lengyl (Matthew McConaughey). With the help of the lone Marshall football coach Red Dawson (Matthew Fox) and the three remaining players who weren't on the plane, Coach Lengyl sets out to restructure Marshall's team, and spirit. But for some in the community it's still too soon, including Paul Griffen (Ian McShane) who lost his football-star son. They fear that moving on so quickly is disrespectful to those who died and to the loved ones who still mourn. The film emphasizes this issue, illustrating the struggle of that harrowing time at Marshall, and in college football history.
Although WE ARE MARSHALL contains a similar theme to other sports movies, rising from adversity, the tragedy of so many lives lost in a small community and the painful recovery sets this film apart. Strong performances by McConaughey (FAILURE TO LAUNCH)—his wit and energy adds much needed doses of comic relief, Fox (LOST), and McShane (DEADWOOD) successfully help bring the historical and inspiring story of Marshall ...
