Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English When an East German couple try to defect to America by hijacking an airplane, one of the other passengers decides to emigrate along with them. They land in West Berlin at a U.S. Airforce Base, which counts as U.S. territory. American officials are later forced to hold a trial to determine whether the political refugees should be criminally prosecuted for commandeering the flight.
Leo Penn directs his son Sean in this film, which is based on a true story, written by the trial judge. On August 30, 1978, an east German couple, traveling with their child, used a toy gun to hijack an airliner to a U.S. Base in West Germany. Now they must stand trial in this complex, precedent-shattering case based on a true story. Based on an actual account of an incident in 1978, when East German Helmut Thiele defected to the West.

Judgment In Berlin review
$23.79 MONSTERS VS. ALIENS combines B-movie nostalgia with futuristic technology to create a 3-D animated adventure for the whole family. When an alien attacks the earth, the monsters must step up and become heroes to rescue humanity. This Dreamworks Animation offering features a cast of celebrity voices, including Reese Witherspoon, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, and Seth Rogen.
When a radioactive meteor hurtles into Susan Murphy (voiced by Reese Witherspoon) on her wedding day, she is transformed into a towering, platinum-haired giant. Taken away by the government and dubbed "Ginormica," Susan is introduced to other scientific oddities, including the amphibious Missing Link (Will Arnett), the dim blob B.O.B. (Seth Rogen), and the brilliant, bug-headed Dr. Cockroach (Hugh Laurie). These "monsters" are released from captivity when a massive alien robot sent by the scheming Gallaxhar (Rainn Wilson) appears in San Francisco and clearly does not come in peace. With little time to adjust to her new stature, Susan must learn to work with her strange allies to avoid an all-out extraterrestrial invasion.

Judgment In Berlin film
$10.49 Laurence Olivier shocked audiences accustomed to seeing him in Shakespeare or period romances when he joined forces with the two defining figures of Great Britain's Angry Young Man cadre, director Tony Richardson and playwright John Osborne, by starring as third-rate vaudevillian Archie Rice in the latter's lacerating play. The arrogant, hypocritical, and lecherous performer is playing out the remainder of his days leading a revue at a moribund seaside resort. In the pathetic quality of his singing, acting, and humor, the declining Archie is clearly intended by its author as a symbol of post-WWII England. Yet he still has enough energy to make life as miserable for his family as it is for him. He cajoles his son, Frank (Alan Bates), into volunteering to fight in Suez, against his will; bilks his dying father ...
