Released in 2006, Enigma's sixth album, A POSTERIORI, stays in the same techno-tinged vein of its predecessor, VOYAGEUR. On these 12 songs, sonic architect Michael Cretu focuses on synth-heavy grooves more than on New Age atmospherics, resulting in one of Enigma's more dance-oriented outings. Stand-out tracks include the house-influenced "Feel Me Heaven," the goth-leaning "Dancing with Mephisto," and the beat-driven "Hello and Welcome." Those seeking the act's exotic, dreamy sound (a la MCMXC A.D.) will find it bookending the record with "Eppur Si Muove" and "Goodbye Milky Way," but, for the most part, Cretu seems content to offer up tracks that are tailor-made to fit perfectly into the late-night playlists of European clubs.

In 2002, Sony served up a two-fer of Nashville Skyline and John Wesley Harding. Neither are remastered and there are no frills or bonus material, but it's a good way to get these classics at a reasonable price. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Vol. 4 of Columbia's Bob Dylan lazily constructed "three-fer" series contains the label's 2003 reissues of Nashville Skyline, John Wesley Harding, and New Morning -- the latter has yet to be reissued or remastered and appears here in its original mid-'80s Columbia House-style format -- in their entirety. All three discs feature the same tracks in the same order that appear on the individual releases, as well as their accompanying liner notes. This collection is only notable for its lack of a jewel case, as each reissue album is roughly the same price if purchased individually. ~ James Christopher Monger
