' The group performed onboard and at the ship's various ports of call, which included France, Italy, Greece, and Spain. Isaac was next approached by the program director of the ship's radio station to DJ a radio show onboard the ship. He was an instantaneous and absolute hit. In 1973 Isaac auditioned for the Armed Forces School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia and became the first male in the history of the Armed Forces to be a rated vocalist. For the next two and a half years he traveled with the navy show-band East, touring the East Coast and South America presenting goodwill and recruiting concerts for the Navy and the State Department. In 1976 Isaac left the military, returning to the Bay Area to attend college.
