As I sit here listening to this I finally get it about John Legend. He is such a throwback to a time in which singers were really singers and artists were really artists, so much so to the point where I didn’t fully appreciate him until recently. I’m listening to the voice and the quality of the material here and I’m simply enthralled by this effort. From “Save Room” to “Heaven” to “Each Day Gets Better” he just transcends anything from almost anyone in the last 10-15 years. Amazing! Then it gets better with “P.D.A. (We Just Don't Care)”, “Again” and “Maxine”. I’m also feelin’ “Another Again”. This type of music will more importantly be recognized as something “classic” years and years from now while the overwhelming majority of everything else you hear today will be long forgotten and discarded like the rubbish it is. Also, if you have the chance to see him and Corrine Bailey Rae, you must do so. I honestly didn’t think much of their pairing, particularly because I thought it would be boring. Recently a couple of friends got a spur of the moment chance to see John and Corrine while we were all in Detroit, and let me tell you the looks on their faces and their moods when they returned said it all. All of a sudden I saw the logic behind putting these two together, both appeal to that most discerning music lover. He has a very grandiose last name, but so far he is really on his way to becoming just that, a Legend.

||Legend does it Once Again...|
John Once Again proves why he's going to be a LEGEND. I wasn't convinced when I first heard Once Again, mainly due to my expectations based on Get Lifted. Once Again is not a second installation of Get Lifted, it is just as new and fresh as if Legend were a brand new artist. A completely different album giving music a refreshing sound for today. John blends good old soul music with his own style to create wonderful songs such as "Each Day Gets Better", "Slow Dance" and "Where Did My Baby Go", to name a few. You still get a Get Lifted feel with songs like "Stereo", "Again" and "Another Again". Of course John takes you to his Gospel roots with "Heaven" and "Show Me". This album has something for everyone, if you go in with an open mind you will come out with a musical experience you won't soon forget.

||Can I add more stars|
This CD is the truth. Legend is more than a singer and song writer. He is an artist and story teller! There are not many people who can accomplish painting a picture that with words and music. For example, Slow Dance - take you back to the day when you “mamma and dem” had basement parties that you had sneak a peak into. Who could not see Maxine sauntering across the street in her fly white stiletto shoes? Keep Making Good Music!!!
