Great Compilation!
This CD set has the essential of the quintessential Pink Floyd! Very great songs, both Syd and Dave's eras. But they should have include Breathe, just to make it Perfect.

Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd songs A live performance from October 20, 1994, PULSE records the great psychedelic band Pink Floyd rocking out like only they can. Renowned for their hallucinatory special effects and lighting schemes, Pink Floyd goes all out at this spectacular (and very long) concert. Twenty-one of their classics are performed, including classic rock radio staples "Dark Side of The Moon" and "Wish You were Here." Recorded in the fall of 1994, this DVD shows the band - David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright - in their highest form. The concert features songs from Wish You Were Here, The Wall, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, and Dark Side Of the Moon performed in its entirety. Also included are screen films that were projected during the concert, documentary, photo gallery, and even some bootlegs.

Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd buy CD music By condensing the sonic explorations of Meddle to actual songs and adding a lush, immaculate production to their trippiest instrumental sections, Pink Floyd inadvertently designed their commercial breakthrough with Dark Side of the Moon. The primary revelation of Dark Side of the Moon is what a little focus does for the band. Roger Waters wrote a series of songs about mundane, everyday details which aren't that impressive by themselves, but when given the sonic backdrop of Floyd's slow, atmospheric soundscapes and carefully placed sound effects, they achieve an emotional resonance. But what gives the album true power is the subtly textured music, which evolves from ponderous, neo-psychedelic art rock to jazz fusion and blues-rock before turning back to psychedelia. It's dense with detail, but leisurely paced, creating its own dark, haunting world. Pink Floyd may have better albums than Dark Side of the Moon, but no other record defines them quite as well as this one. The album was celebrating a total of 1,350 weeks on The Billboard 200 and Top Pop Catalog charts in Billboard magazine when Capitol Records released the 30th anniversary edition in 2003. The SACD version, as had previous digital remasterings, added space and definition to the elements of music, dialogue, and sound effects that made up the album, while the 5.1 remix expanded those improvements across multiple speakers. Original designer Storm Thorgerson contributed a new, subtly different album cover and a 20-page CD booklet that was a scrapbook of photographs and artwork associated with the album over the years. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine Full Title - Dark Side of the Moon 30th Anniversary Edition. It's been 30 years since 'Floyd released their masterwork, and it's been on the charts for most of them! And now comes a new dimension to what was already the ultimate headphone experience-this new edition includes a newly-remastered conventional version and a Super Audio CD 5.1 surround mix version playable on SACD-compatible DVD players and home theater systems. Original designer Storm Thorgerson chips in with new art inside the 20-page booklet. Capitol. 2003. Audio Mixers: Gus Skinas; James Guthrie . Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd album for sale Initial pressings of this first edition contain a bonus disc. Recorded between 1970 & 2002. Includes liner notes by Paul Gambaccini. Greatest Hits 1970-2002 is a nearly flawless double-disc set commemorating Elton John's three-decade career. Disc one features what may arguably be John's most essential work: Seeing songs such as "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," "Candle in the Wind," and "Bennie and the Jets" -- not to mention "Your Song," "Rocket Man," and "Tiny Dancer" -- lined up back to back reaffirms just how diverse, and yet universal, his songwriting talent is. Disc two finds this talent maturing gracefully into the '80s, '90s, and beyond, touching on pop gems like "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," "I'm Still Standing," and "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues" as well as his Lion King classic "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" and the Aida duet "Written in the Stars" with LeAnn Rimes. The collection also finds room for the highlights of his most recent albums, including Made in England's "Believe" and "Blessed," The Big Picture's "Something About the Way You Look Tonight," and Songs from the West Coast's "This Train Don't Stop Here Anymore." For most casual fans, Greatest Hits 1970-2002 will replace the need for collections such as Greatest Hits, Greatest Hits, Vol. 2, and Greatest Hits, Vol. 3, although these collections are still worthwhile as of-their-time retrospectives of John's work. ~ Heather Phares All tracks have been digitally remastered.

Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd CD music Recorded between 1974 & 1997. Includes liner notes by Jim Jenkins, Jacky Smith, Andy Davis, Phil Symes. With Queen officially enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Hollywood Records reintroduces the band yet again with the release of Platinum Collection, Vols. 1-3. While Vols. I & II are full of Queen classics you already know by heart, the third cobbles together odds and sods from the far corners of Queen's canon along with solo cuts from Freddie Mercury and Brian May. Opening with the operatic rock classic "Bohemian Rhapsody," it's easy to hear not only how this British quartet achieved the kind of global acclaim that ensured they'd be enshrined alongside the likes of the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. When they weren't dabbling in playful, '50s-flavored rock & roll ("Crazy Little Thing Called Love"), catchy glam ("Killer Queen"), or hard-edged funk ("Another One Bites the Dust"), Queen was capable of delivering heartfelt love letters ("You're My Best Friend"). The band's '80s output is equally intriguing, ranging from the hard-hitting "Headlong" to duets with David Bowie ("Under Pressure") and soaring movie anthems ("One Vision"). The third volume features more movie themes ("Princes of the Universe"), Freddie Mercury covering the Platters ("The Great Pretender"), and cameos by contemporary artists like Wyclef Jean, George Michael, and Elton John. All tracks have been digitally remastered. Producers include: Queen, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, David Richards, Mike Moran. Queen: Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon. Additional personnel: Elton John, George Michael, David Bowie, Montserrat Caballe (vocals); Wyclef Jean, Pras (rap vocals). 3 CDs

Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd buy CD music When Jon Anderson rejoined Yes after DRAMA, he was inserting himself into an unusual situation. Keyboardist Geoff Downes and longtime guitarist Steve Howe had left to form Asia with prog rock vets John Wetton (King Crimson, Roxy Music etc.) and Carl Palmer (ELP). Chris Squire and Alan White brought original Yes keysman Tony Kaye back and recruited vibrant young Australian guitarist/vocalist/composer Trevor Rabin. The quartet had already begun writing and recording, but Anderson was able to insert himself into the proceedings with such ease that the new combination sounds completely natural on 90125. Mostly, the band was concerned with trimming the musical fat to keep pace with the onslaught of the 1980s. Thus, tracks like "Owner of a Lonely Heart" and "City of Love" are full of samples, splices and almost funky beats and riffs. The unusual time changes and complex riffs of tunes like "Changes" and "Cinema" leave little doubt that this is still a Yes album, but the band succeeds in giving their sound a contemporary overhaul on 90125. Includes 6 bonus tracks. Additional Tracks Recorded at Sarm Studio, London, England. Originally released on Atco (90125). Yes: Jon Anderson (vocals); Trevor Rabin (guitar, keyboards, background vocals); Tony Kaye (keyboards); Chris Squire (bass, background vocals); Alan White (drums, percussion, background vocals). Personnel: Trevor Rabin (vocals, guitar, keyboards); Chris Squire (vocals, bass guitar); Jon Anderson (vocals); Tony Kaye (keyboards); Johnathon J. Jeczalik (keyboard programming). Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd songs No matter which of Pink Floyd's leaders (Barrett, Waters, Gilmour) is at the controls, the band has always been about grandeur. The epic scale of their psychedelic explorations, the life-altering themes of their recordings, their ground-breaking, conceptual stagings, have all helped in the construction of the group's mythology. And more than any other rock band's, Pink Floyd's myths have endured even as the band and its fans have grown older. A live double album, PULSE works not only as an extended postcard of 1994's biggest tour, but as the Floyd's myth re-charger. Consider the facts: the release was celebrated with a laser-light show atop the Empire State Building, and the spine of the CD package features a perpetually blinking light. But, as is always the case with Pink Floyd, there is method in their madness. The blinking light harkens back to the heartbeat that is the unifying theme of their classic DARK SIDE OF THE MOON album, which is performed in its entirety on disc two. Disc one is an approximation of the band's first set, featuring a powerful run through Syd Barrett's "Astronomy Domine" (the definition of late-'60s British psychedelia), as well as a host of songs from 1987's MOMENTARY LAPSE OF REASON and '94s DIVISION BELL. But the second set is the true keeper of the two. Having made its tour debut on the 25th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing, DARK SIDE loses none of its glow when transferred to a live setting. David Gilmour ably handles Roger Waters' vocal parts, and emphasizes instrumental interludes--"On The Run," for instance, sounds like a true precursor to The Orb's ambient noodlings. The radio hits ("Money," "Us and Them," "Brain Damage") are all re-interpreted enough to sound novel, but still retain a comforting familiarity. Recorded live in Europe and The United Kingdom in 1994. Recorded at Earls Court Arena, London, England. Pink Floyd: David Gilmour (vocals, guitars); Richard Wright (vocals, keyboards); Nick Mason (drums). Personnel: David Gilmour, Tim Renwick (vocals, guitar); Jon Carin (vocals, keyboards, synthesizer); Richard Wright (vocals, keyboards); Guy Pratt (vocals, bass guitar); Dick Parry (saxophone); Nick Mason (drums, percussion); Gary Wallis (percussion); Jason Reddy (computer); Claudia Fontaine, Durga McBroom, Sam Leigh Brown, Sam Brown (background vocals).
