Because of the strength of the number three single "Oh Sherrie," the rest of Steve Perry's first solo album was somewhat overlooked, even though it managed to put three other songs into the Top 40. Even with Journey's power ballad formula draping every runny lyric and mawkish keyboard stretch, Perry was able to make the album sound relatively steadfast and sincere all the while. Great Remaster!
Great for the original songs, which sound fresh and vibrant. The real treat is for the bonus tracks, which include Alien Project demos. It's easy to see why Herbie Herbert was dying to get Perry hooked up with Neil Schon and Gregg Rollie. It's also a reminder of how great and unique a vocalist Steve Perry was in the mid and late 70's. Highly recommended!

Great album
I bought the original album (without the extra tracks) and it is one of my all time favourites. Steve Perry has a great voice, he's a bit like an american Paul Rodgers. And if you don't know who Paul Rodgers is then check out Free. I would definately recommend this album.

Should Have been raised on Radio Fantastic
Great Job by singer Steve Perry he Copys Journeys sound with his voice this album could have been raised on radio oh well I guess we should thank pienda But great Job by steve perry for Journeys last album

Steve Perry's Finest.
This is a great CD from a great Singer. Steve's band is awesome as well. For his first solo effort this is well written and musically perfect. Another must have CD
