But there's a sputter, beep, whoosh and clink to the proceedings that make it happily irksome and decidedly un-neo-soulful. He's well known for his astonishing guitar work on the many world tours and recordings with poet Ursula Rucker. As King Britt's production partner, his guitars and music have graced remixes by the Doors, Curtis Mayfield, 4 Hero, George Duke, Everything But The Girl, Dizzy Gillespie, and many others. In 2005, he co-produced the critically acclaimed King Britt presents: Sister Gertrude Morgan on ropeadope records.
