Developed by Evolution Studios, MotorStorm delivers visceral off-road racing, plunging players into a frenzied environment awash with grit, mud and petrol, in a game that leaves the standard rules of racing in the dust. Gone are the limits of power restrictions, limited classes, and qualifying rounds. Players simply choose their vehicle from a massive range – including dirt bikes, ATVs, sand rails, rally cars, monster trucks, and everything in between – then hit the track in a no-holds-barred sprint to the finish line. Carving a swathe of destruction through the ever-changing wilderness, players must compete in a gasoline-fuelled, horsepower spectacle where the only rule is to try and stay alive. Motorstorm Games Review Average Rating: (2.7 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Best racing game on the ps3 I dont know why some people don't like this game because this is by far the most addicting racing game I have ever played it gets rediculously hard towards the end but besides that the game is awesome the only thing the game is missing is split screen Submitted by ms546372819 (Columiba MO USA) Was This Review Helpful? Biggest Dissapointment ever The graphics are not the best i've seen on the ps3, and the gameplay is the most repetitive and lackluster I have seen in a racing game in years. Submitted by Tommy (Lincoln, NE, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Boring I don't know what all the hype is all about, this game is another mediocre racer. Like everyone says the graphics are top notch but the actual racing is boring.Limited car and track selection and repetetive gameplay.I'll pass on this. Great graphics but gets old quick. Amazing graphics. No other racer can even match the graphics in Motorstorm. Too bad the develpoers spent more time on eye candy and not enough time on deep gameplay. And for the previous reviewer Bigal(U.K), who criticized another reviewer because he got bored after 2 hours, you don't have to spend alot of time playing a game to know whether or not you'll like the game.I got bored after only playing for 30 minutes. It's not my style of game.I know people who think this game is the greatest ever and alot of people who thinks this game sucked. It all comes down to personal taste.BTW, Bigal (u.K.), you said "this is the best racer you've seen or played" then why give this game a 3 star rating. 3 Stars = average. Too Overrated I played the demo of this and it was enough not to play it again. Graphics are excellent especially in HD but playability just plain sux. DON'T add this to your PS3 collection. Submitted by Gannon (Dublin, Ireland) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Features Attacking and Offensive Driving – Players must not only try to win the race but survive against the other racers. Combat-like racing takes center stage as the vehicles are the weapons. Stunning Environments – MotorStorm features amazing scenic environments that capture some of America’s most recognizable desert landmarks with wide-open plains, harrowing cliff edges, and tight canyon sections. Cutting-Edge Artificial Intelligence – The A.I. will be able to analyze the race and surroundings and react in the most realistic manner possible. Not only will the competition try to win the race at all costs, but the A.I. will react to situations realistically, such as locating the best routes and changing the level of driving aggression based on player actions Real-time Track Deformation – Players will never experience the same track twice as each vehicle will carve up the track in varying depths, making navigation of each lap different than the last Real-time Audio Manipulation – An entirely new in-game music experience where echo and reverb are filtered in, delivering a unique live music experience during each race PLAYSTATION3 – Greater processing power on PlayStation 3 and Blu-ray technology enables more immersive visuals and sound effects in MotorStorm, heightening the chaos within each brutal race environment.
