Autophysiopsychic album
$12.05 After a quarter century apart, the core line-up of the jazz quartet Return to Forever--Chick Corea, Lenny White, Stanley Clark, and Al Di Meola--reunited for a world tour in 2008. This remarkable concert film captures the foursome on stage at Montreux, playing bewitching renditions of "Vulcan Worlds," "Sorceress," "Romantic Warrior," and many others.
The band was at the forefront of jazz/rock fusion in the 70s and were formed by a former Miles Davis sideman, in this case the great Chick Corea. Return To Forever hit their commercial and artistic peak with a string of albums in the mid-seventies featuring the line-up of Chick Corea on keyboards, ...

| | Frank Sinatra Nothing But The Best CD (2008) Remastered
Autophysiopsychic music CDs
$15.65 "The Chairman of the Board" died in May of 1998, yet his music sounds as vital and relevant today as ever. Released on the 10th anniversary of his death--in coordination with a slew of DVD releases commemorating the singer's acting career as well as an official U.S. Postal Service stamp--NOTHING BUT THE BEST provides an excellent look at Sinatra's tenure at the Reprise label. Among the album's 22 vintage cuts are classics such as "The Way You Look Tonight," "Luck Be a Lady," "Strangers in the Night," and "My Way." The disc also contains a bonus track in the previously unreleased recording of "Body and Soul." Diehard Sinatra fans will likely own most of this material, yet as a greatest hits set (albeit covering the Reprise years only) NOTHING BUT THE BEST lives up to its title.

| | Michael Hedges Aerial Boundaries CD (1985)
Autophysiopsychic CD music
$7.59 Michael Hedges is considered by many one of the most important innovators of the acoustic guitar. His total dedication to the acoustic guitar enabled him to develop a new approach to the instrument that transcended anything done before. He could sound like two--at times even three--guitarists playing at once, and his compositions drew on a wide variety of influences, from the earthy to the academic. While he is usually associated with the new age movement that flourished in the '80s and early '90s (having recorded on the flagship Windham Hill label), the reach of his music extends far beyond the drivel that the tag suggests.
AERIAL BOUNDARIES incorporates all the elements that characterize Hedges' music: astounding technique, innovative composition, and a spirit of exploration. Where many a musician with half of Hedges' ability would be prone to showboating, ...

| | Ruben van Rompaey Eastern Expressions CD (2005)
Autophysiopsychic album
$12.15 Being fascinated by drums and percussion since he was a child, Ruben van Rompaey was born (1978) in the city of Bergen op Zoom, Holland.Ruben started to play drums at a very early age and gradually turned out to be a drummer and percussionist. Besides his early-developed passion for Jazz music, he immediately developed a big interest in ethnical musical styles and sounds. At the same time he was constantly being stimulated by the influential Turkish multi-instrumentalist and musicologist Yasar Saka.During his study at the Rotterdam Conservatory Holland, Ruben made interesting musical voyages to cities like New York and New Orleans, where he stayed for a while to check the musical scenes. Meanwhile, he already worked as a professional drums/percussion artist within well-known Turkish groups in Holland, like the Dostlar Band, as well as being active as a Jazz drummer. May 1999 Ruben won the Tama Drummers Award, and March 2000 he won the Erasmus Rotterdam Jazz Award, playing his own compositions. After having obtained his Master Degree (cum laude) in Drums and Percussion, Ruben travelled to Istanbul, Turkey, where he lived for a while and was classically ...
