A Garden of Musical Delights Conni St. Pierre's new album, 'Flower Spirits,' is the first in a series of ambient and meditative instrumentals inspired by Conni's deep connection to spirit in the natural world. "Flower Spirits" is a bouquet of songs, each composed with the essence and spirit of a particular flower in the arrangement. Conni's music blooms with vibrant alto flute melodies, the mystery of gypsy harp, haunting Japanese shakuhachi and ambient keyboards rooted with the gentle rhythm of Pat Malia's Native American drums and percussion. Conni St. Pierre is founder of smasheasy® and Tourmaline Media, and creator/composer of The Legends Trilogy, the critically acclaimed ambient/new age music series. Whether she's playing melodic alto flute lines, or hauntingly ambient keyboard resonances - with the sparseness of Zen shakuhachi, or time travelling with medieval-influenced Celtic harp- St. Pierre creates a musical landscape and shares an inner vision that is fresh and inspired - calm, and graceful. St. Pierre's music offers a perfected blend of new age, ambient, and traditional music that has brought her fans around the world, and critical acclaim. Her new fourth album, "Flower Spirits" mirrors her deep love of nature in the songs which evoke the inner essences of flowers through her wordless, musical poetry. Conni's music is widely used for yoga, meditation, t'ai chi, reiki, massage, and other healing arts, and she has composed music for guided yoga and relax- ation releases. As a member of improvisational ensemble, Forest Floor, her music was part of the soundtrack of an award-winning independent forest documentary film. Read a great review from Bill Binkelman, at New Age Reporter :"...introspective/reflective style...St. Pierre is an undiscovered gem of an artist....exemplifies the healing and mystical qualities of the genre..."and from Backstage Radio News, Belgium:"Le coup de coeur....On est presque sur le toit du monde en parfait equilibre avec la nature."Praise for Conni's previous releases: The Legends Trilogy 'Beyond the Sky: Legends of the Starry Night' The #1 Best New Age and Acoustic Instrumental Recording of 2003 by Wind and Wire 'Haunting, and soothing.... evocative.... mystical ambience.... I admired how ultimately, unconventional this recording is....Here is a recording that resonates at a deep level...It is inspired and genuine and I cannot rave enough about it. I love this album, pure and simple!' -- Wind and Wire '...wordless poetry and cascading sound...an exhilirating listening experience. ' -- All Media Guide '...a quiet, yet outdoors-like experience. The listener is engulfed in Conni's mood-setting performance.' -- Blue Divide Flower Spirits Music | List Price | $12.97 (You save $4.28) | | Category | New Age Albums | | Label | smasheasy | | CD Universe Part number | 7289492 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Jul 12, 2006 |

Flower Spirits album
$21.00 Comprised of 18 tracks culled from the singer/composer's first three decades, The Very Best of Enya was pieced together by the artist herself, along with longtime collaborators Nicky and Roma Ryan. Luckily, the trio seems enamored by most of the same songs that the general public is, resulting in one of those rare "greatest-hits" collections that goes deep without depriving the listener of the essentials. With tunes like "Orinoco Flow," "Caribbean Blue," and "Book of Days" in the pot and out of the way, it's easier to appreciate hidden gems like "Cursum Perficio," "Boadicea," "Trains and Winter Rains," and ...

| | Bill MacDonough House Of Jade CD (2003)
Flower Spirits CD music
$15.19 House of Jade: featuring the Bill MacDonough Quartet, with Bill MacDonough on piano, Julian MacDonough on drums, Paul Chandler on trumpet, and the legendary Jeff Johnson on bass is a classic piano led quartet. This performance was recorded live as part of the Jazz Project's Art of Jazz series at Lucia Douglas Gallery, in Bellingham Washington. Bill has performed for the Project on many occasions, but this is his first recording as a leader. Below are the program notes for the concert and Bill's reaction to the performance following a preview of this release:Were there ever a Godfather of Jazz in Bellingham, BILL MACDONOUGH would be a made man. He has taught, accompanied, performed, or backed almost every musician in Bellingham playing local venues too many to name. OK here goes: Old Town Cafe, Beech House Pub, Cookie Cafe, Casino Bar & Grill, Blue Water Bistro, Chuckanut Manor, The Fairhaven, Bel Porto, Tony's Coffee, Fairhaven Billiards, Bullies, Black Forest, Channel Landing, Majestic Hotel, Il Fiasco, The Metro (did we ever get paid?), Stuarts Coffee House (no we didn't), Lummi Casino, Red River Casino, Marz Cafe, Port of Subs, Cafe Akroteri, Speedy O'Tubbs, The Up & Up, Bucks, Mt. Baker Brewery, Blue Maxx (later Red Baron, remember the Miller Girls), Elephant & Castle, Zumbarah, Bagelry, Top of the Towers, Caravan's Crossing, Renaissance Cafe, Community Food Co-op, Fairhaven Bus, Matt's Place, Packers at Semiahmoo, Boundary Bay, Poppe's, Grand Avenue, The Breakwater, Calumet, Palmers. Which of the above venues have endured the test of time? Almost none. In fact, Bill can take pride in being the jazz fall guy for Bellingham's failed jazz clubs. Which only goes to show you that the venues come and go, but the jazz family and the piano player remains the same. So when I get calls for a pianist, Bill's name is inevitably bantered back and forth like a Bellingham Jazz Boss. So if Bill is made, the n JULIAN MACDONOUGH is simply part of the family business. Now living in Seattle, he performs regularly with his own group which he frequently takes out on the boat, and as a sideman for players from Portland to Vancouver. Earlier this year he launched a 27 stop tour with the Mike Allen Trio that took him from Seattle to Bellingham to Vancouver and across Canada to promote their trio album Dialectic. He has recently been working "on the boat" with some local hamsters including Reece Marshburn, Roger Yamashita, Willie ...

| | Optimo Psyche Out CD (2005) (Import) Belgium
Flower Spirits songs
$16.05 The only artist present on both How to Kill the DJ, Pt. 2 and Psyche Out is the Stranglers, the least fitting representatives for either mix. The Stranglers are known more for inciting brawls than packing dancefloors, and neither one of the band's contributions exceeds a minute. Despite the flimsy but noticeable connection, Psyche Out is an extremely different animal compared to the helter-skelter How to Kill the DJ, focusing on the mind-altering qualities that often run through strains of jazz, rock, soul, disco, and purely electronic dance music. This imagines a utopian venue where Larry Heard opens for the Temptations, where Arthur Russell and Herbie Hancock meet to exchange ideas, where Syd Barrett and Ron Hardy are equally revered. The Optimo duo is less quick to switch tracks and tacks, so the ride is a lot smoother here than it is on How to Kill the DJ, with the inclusions often given a few minutes to air out. The blends are often long and discreet enough to ...
| | Jonathan Yasuda Loosey Goosey CD (2007)
Flower Spirits album
$11.95 From Jonathan: Even before this album came to fruition, I've always enjoyed composing songs that made friends or strangers laugh, cry or maybe just think, 'that's really cool and interesting!' It comes down to this: if I don't play with all my soul, I feel as if I'm cheating myself and the listener. By sharing my thoughts and experiences through these songs, I hope they remind you of something in your life; perhaps a bad roommate experience, maybe your favorite coffee shop, relationships, you get the idea :-) Music is meant to be shared, so if you want to push back that homework assignment for a little or forget about that TPS report, listen to some of my song samples. If you like what you hear, please spread the word of puxinatux and purchase my songs and t-shirts. Thanks for stopping by! Boston College Student Review: 'what can i say. the music you have written has changed my life. MY LIFE jonny Y! ever since i heard such classics as coffee shop, dave ur a loser, sumimasen, and of course the zelda tribute, my existence has been given new meaning. . . i will buy tshirts for all my friends and relatives. and perhaps all the frosh here at bc as well. or at least ...
