| | R Kelly Untitled CD (2009)
Big Bad Bay Area CD music
$11.18 After his aborted, internet-leaked 2008 album, 12 PLAY: 4TH QUARTER, R. Kelly busied himself with guest spots for Beyonce, T-Pain, and Kanye West, even offering a free download on iTunes, "I Believe," inspired by the election of president Barack Obama. While such moves insured that Kelly would never stray far from the R&B throne he's occupied for more than a decade, his 2009 reboot of 12 PLAY, UNTITLED, should provide more than enough reason for fans to keep coming back for more. From Auto Tune-laden ...

"Song Cry" was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Male Rap Solo Performance.
It's official. With his fifth album, aptly titled THE BLUEPRINT, Jay-Z has crowned himself the king of rap music. Laying a foundation for other MC's to follow, Jay Hova presents a lyrical masterpiece. And to make matters worse (for the competition, that is), he does so over a selection of the tightest beats (Jus Blaze, Timbaland) to come by hip-hop ...
| | Les Negresses Vertes Acoustic Clubbing CD (2001) (Import) France
Big Bad Bay Area music CDs
$15.25 French world-music pranksters Les Negresses Vertes rework 14 of their older songs on 2001's ACOUSTIC CLUBBING, featuring "Easy Girls."
During the 1990s, Les Négresses Vertes went through a radical change of style, passing from a French-Algerian horn-backed party house to a laid-back dub lounge outfit after the death of singer and inspiration Noël Rota halfway through the decade. After the success of Trabendo (their 2000 dub comeback), which still ...

| | Kerri Overbeeke Sending A Message CD (2008) (Import)
Big Bad Bay Area CD music
$12.55 Kerri was privileged enough to be born and raised in the picturesque Adelaide Hills- a place neatly tucked away on the largest island in the world, Australia. Overbeeke is a Dutch name pronounced “over-baker†and means “over the little creekâ€. Two things are ironic about this becoming Kerri's married name. Firstly the property she grew up on has a small creek running through it and secondly she's not much of a baker! Perhaps she could have been a baker- given a little instruction but her Mother banded her from the kitchen at a young age after a couple of unsupervised experiments went horribly wrong. So Kerri threw in her baking mittens and found creative outlets in drama, art, writing poetry and especially through music. Kerri approached music in much the same way that she did baking, only this time her improvised, self-taught creations were actually turning out to be pleasing and easy to digest.Picking up the guitar for the first time when she was 16, Kerri learned to play only a couple of chords. It was enough for her to create something of her own and so began her relationship with song writing. This relationship grew quickly as Kerri found a place amongst the plucking of guitar strings where she could meet with her heart to confess, confide and let it all out. ...
