Some of you have expressed that my music is your window to my experiences...and some of my experiences are beyond the "bubble" that you live in. If you wrote songs, I would probably say the same thing...We all live different, yet interesting lives.Some of you just like to listen and dance...Whatever your desire...Thank you for enjoying my tunes. My song "Mo Better" was definitely inspired by Barry White,...Actually, 'the groove', 'the motion', 'the feeling', of the song was made possible by his style...and naturally, I wrote the music and the lyrics. If you're having trouble paying the bills...you'll relate to my song "Paycheck To Paycheck"! Have you ever had 'more month than money'? You say every month!!! Well, that's what "Paycheck To Paycheck" is about...It seems that you work so hard every single day...Workin' so hard for so little pay..."Paycheck To Paycheck". Have you ever watched Jerry Springer or Maury Povich?What do you think when a woman comes on the show and tells her 'baby daddy' that the baby is not his?...Well, I wrote a song about that...its called, "The Baby's Not Yours"...Exactly why would someone humiliate their loved one on national TV that way?!?!...I know, I know!!!...Maybe they can't afford a paternity test and since Maury's giving those out for free...well, you get the idea...And of course,her 'baby daddy' won't kick her ass if she disses him in front of a million witnesses! The title of my sixteenth album is "Saturday Night Fever". The reason for this is everybody wishes Saturday night would just go on and get here...Most of us prepare all week to let it all hang out on the weekend. Other songs that are featured on this album are "Trust Me", "Strip Club" and "Shakin' That Butter". I received my inspiration for "Shakin' That Butter" totally unexpectedly...I was walking across a parking lot, just minding my own business when a young woman and her three pre-Kindergarten children got out of their car. She struggled to control the bunch as there were many obstacles in the parking lot (including cars) that might have caused harm to her offspring...She was very intent on managing her kids until she looked over her shoulder and saw me approaching.
