| | Conor Mclaughlin Ten Years In The Making CD Conor Mclaughlin Discography of CDs
Conor McLaughlin a.k.a Cowboy Conor was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 3rd 1980. He is known today by most Bostonians as an innovative entrepreneur who has used his talents in technology, graphic design, and music to make his dreams come to life. His songs come straight from the heart, simple and genuine like the man that he is. Although he is very new to the entertainment industry, he has been a composer since he was old enough to pick up a drumstick or hit the keys on his family's old upright piano. "Being the eighth of ten children is like having your own little audience; of course, my brothers and sisters were always quick to heckle when my voice cracked, but it gave me a good sense of humor and, helped me to build self-confidence." "I am probably the most unorthodox musician you will ever meet. If you ask me to play an "E I'll play an "F," but if you ask me to just play what I feel, my natural talent flows." My primary focus has been to express the example of unconditional and selfless love taught to me by my mother, who raised 10 children while fighting breast cancer. A love like hers is hard to come by, but with faith and perseverance, I continue on my journey, rediscovering it in different ways and expressing it through my song. | | STYLO Call It What You Want CD (2004)
Ten Years In The Making
$12.49 Stylo is the name and I got it from the Spanish word "estilo" mixed with the English word "style." I'm a 19 year old Mexicano from South Omaha, Nebraska. Yeah, I said Nebraska. Not the biggest Hip-Hop place but I'm making sure it becomes something big. I don't portray the normal "Chicano rapper" nor do I enjoy that label to be put on me. I'm an emcee to the fullest and nothing else. I look at myself as a spokesman for the average hood cat in the Midwest. Since the age of twelve I've been in love with Hip-Hop. Being into writing; emceeing kind of fell into place. It started off as me and my younger cousin doing it. He stopped and I didn't. I felt I had a talent in this and things moved on from there.I started writing and freestyling everywhere I went. I became known around my part of the city as one of the best Mexican rappers around. I hooked up with Edgar De Leon, a guy I knew from around my way who was into helping young cats like myself, and had him listen to one of my songs that I did. At that time he was just getting Vive Grande Entertainment started, after seeing we had similar ambition and desire to make big things happen in our city, we decided to go into business together, with him being my Manager and I became the company's first Artist. As soon as we got started we hit the ground running, working for months non-stop, from there came the mixtap, "Mic Killas" and then eventually my first album, "Call it What You Want." Currently I'm the only Latino rapper in my city getting the ...
| | Lorri Hafer Very Thought Of You CD (2005)
Ten Years In The Making
$16.45 Lorri began her career at the tender age of five singing backup on the Guy Mitchell record, "If You Ever Go Away." Within a year or so, she was modeling for the Madame Alexander Doll Company. In 1970, composer Loonis McGlohon, a close family friend and mentor, hired her as the voice of "Dorothy" at The Land Of Oz amusement park on Beech Mountain. She reprised her role as "Dorothy" in Loonis' classic, "A Child's Christmas." She went on to be the featured vocalist in both his trio and his Big Band, and recorded several demos of his songs, accompanied by Loonis on the piano including: "Be a Child" and "When Yesterday I Loved You," co-written by Alec Wilder. She also recorded the demo of the hauntingly beautiful Alec Wilder / Johnny Mercer song, "If Someday Comes Ever Again."In 1971, Lorri's father Al Ham, former Big Band bass-player, composer, arranger, conductor and founder of "The Music of Your Life" radio network, put together a group called The Hillside Singers to record "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing." Lorri was the lead singer and her mother, former big band vocalist and Capitol recording artist, Mary Mayo was also a featured singer in the group. They toured until 1974, when Lorri graduated from high school. Lorri went on to study acting at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Upon her return stateside, she toured with former Roseland Ballroom bandleader Bruce Stevens at resorts and hotels throughout the southeast. In 1981, Lorri was the opening act for organist Lenny Dee at his supper club when she visited a jam session. It was there that she met fellow musician Mike Hafer. It was love at first sight and they were married six months later. Lorri and Mike teamed up professionally as well, and were featured performers at several clubs in New York City including Chilie's, Greene Street, and Good Times. In 1984, Lorri was offered the job as featured vocalist with The Glenn Miller Orchestra. She toured with them for eight months throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Japan, sharing the stage with such performers as Frankie Laine and The Four Lads.Upon her return, she and Mike recorded their first CD, "Something Cool" in Charleston, South Carolina. Shortly after that, they returned to Florida and teamed with drummer ...
