The "Fathers of Texas" was many years in the making. Written by singer/songwriter/historian K.R. Wood, this epic of history tells the story of the Texas Revolution in song and narration. Inspired by the dramatic history of Texas and her struggle for independence from Mexico, the presentation begins with the early days of settlement and “The Lone Star Dream" of Moses Austin. His son, Stephen F. Austin, later fulfilled this dream. The story continues with the Texas Declaration of Independence and the various battles and ends with the capture of Santa Anna at San Jacinto.Vivid images of the fight to free Texas from Mexico's rule, prompt audiences to ponder the plight of the Alamo in its early beginning. K.R. performs as though he had first-hand knowledge of the harrowing fight for Texas' independence. The lonesome guitar solos and the western twang of the songs place each listener right along with old Ben Milam. K.R. is an artist that teaches Texas history through song and narration. In this "Fathers of Texas" program, Mr. Wood along with many well-known Texas recording artists, sings songs and tells stories that depict the State of Texas in its early years. The program is well suited for history buffs of all ages and is especially applicable for 4th and 7th grade students studying Texas History. This musical narrative has gained interest from educators as a new and exciting teaching tool, using lyrics that stimulate visual images and vocals that inspire sing-a-long participation. "Fathers of Texas" is not only entertaining, but also educational. Whether you are a Texas history buff, an educator, or just someone that likes great music, you will enjoy “Fathers of Texas.” Fathers Of Texas Music | Category | Country Albums | | Label | CD Baby | | CD Universe Part number | 7291919 | | Catalog number | 100964 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Aug 15, 2006 |

Fathers Of Texas CD music
$12.55 This album will keep reggae fans focused on cultural music, it's a remix of the Rythmy Stay At Home song by the late great Dennis Brown for Joe Gibbs and Errol Thompson back in 1976. Some of the best reggae artists has work on this album to name a few; Turbulence, Anthony B, Luciano, Sizzla, Capleton, George Nooks, Natural Black, Mickey General and Lady G.Turbulence, the hormonizing deejay has scored hits in the roots and dancehall genres as a solo artist and on duet(with sultry songtress Sasha). His vocal delivery is both passionate and raw as he easily move from conscious tune to love song.Turbulence has won fans and positive press through well crafted live performance. The Hype is Turbulence's title track on this album addressing the fake rasta.Anthony B is an unsung hero of conscious dancehall music. He consistently voices thought provoking hook laden songs that ride the underground of the dancehall mix. Anthony B has developed an international fan base with his impressive live performance and steady touring schedule. He is one of reggae's finest lyricists with sharp and insightful verses that he cleverly weaves into 'thugged out'deejay verses. His intelligence and humor has distinguished him in the crowded deejay field and earned him the respect of producers and selectors alike. Shotta Leroy is his track on this album denounceing the killing and shooting in the world and pleading to the youth to put their guns down.Luciano is one of reggae's most farmiliar voices.Through extensive touring Luciano carries the torch for roots and culture and the message of Rastafari to a new generations of listeners.Luciano is a true reggae ambassador with many international hits to his credit(It's Me Again Jah, Sweep Over My Soul). One of his best album release this year is (Now and Forever:Message For Life)on Mighty Man label check ...
| | Emily Crawford Give Me Life CD (2007)
Fathers Of Texas music CDs
$18.99 Emily Crawford has been singing her whole life, just ask anyone who knows her. Her parents will tell you that as soon as she could talk she started singing and has continued to this day. Emily was born and raised in Burbank, California where those closest to her watched her passion for music grow over the years. When she was eleven, she asked her dad to teach her to play the guitar so she could learn the praise and worship songs that she sang at youth group. Little did she know, as she held that big guitar and struggled to learn those basic chords, by her sophomore year of high school she would be leading worship for her youth group. In 2002 Emily began working at Hume Lake Christian Camps where she continued to serve for four years as a worship leader and counselor. Hume Lake brought her a great deal of experience playing music for a much bigger audience. During this time Emily began to cultivate a love for writing her own music. At this time Emily began to realize the possibility of pursuing music as a career. In the summer of 2004, a close family member was tragically killed. This led Emily to move to Washington State in 2005 to be close to her family. Since her move to the Pacific Northwest, she has had many opportunities to play at a wide variety of venues throughout Washington and Oregon. Emily frequently performs her music and/or leads worship in places such as churches, coffee shops, retreats, youth groups, bars, clubs and other special events. Emily’s music can best be described as very heartfelt and intimate. It has an original blend of smooth acoustic folk, with moving vocals and lyrics. Recently one fan wrote on her website, “Your music ...

$11.45 Barbara De Dominicis’ work is situated somewhere between writing and music, still striking a balance between improvised-experimental music and songs. She has been singing her own songs and other people’s too; and sometimes she still does. She manipulates sounds, performs real time invented music, records imaginary soundscapes … Amongst her voyages “sonore and not” are : Extravagance in Cesare Pavese, performance for piano and voice based on italian poem “Verrà la morte e avrà i tuoi occhi “ by Cesare Pavese (Berlin 2001- with pianist Antonello Malafioti from Interjazzional), The body, exposed, an extemporary performance for piano and voice, based on Barbara's unpublished poem Il corpo, esposto. (Naples 2005 - together with pianist Mirko Signorile and drummer Vincenzo Bardaro from Urban Society). She has been collaborating (both touring and recording) with Body and Soul, Mirko Signorile, Marco Messina, Frame, Leon Miller, Francesco Forni, Giorgio ...
