Disney: The Music Behind the Magic Soundtrack album for sale Product Description
Disney: The Music Behind the Magic Soundtrack album for sale by Disney was released Nov 07, 2006 on the Walt Disney label. The double-disc set Disney: The Music Behind the Magic was conceived as a celebration of 50 years of Walt Disney Records, but it also works very well as a collection of greatest hits from the studio's films, theme parks, and TV shows. The first disc does a comprehensive and creative job of chronicling Disney's golden age, including required tracks like "Mickey Mouse March," "Some Day My Prince Will Come," "When You Wish Upon a Star," and "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" but also making room for some slightly less-expected songs like Bambi's "Little April Shower" and The Parent Trap's "Let's Get Together." Annette Funicello's title song for The Monkey's Uncle features the Beach Boys on backing vocals, and famous songs from Disneyland's main attractions, like "It's a Small World," Pirates of the Carribean's "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)," and the Haunted Mansion's "Grim Grinning Ghosts" show just how expansive the Disney world became by the end of the '60s. Disney: The Music Behind the Magic Soundtrack CD music is a 2-disc set with 50 songs. ...See Full Description

Queen Platinum Collection, Vol. 1 - 3 CDs (2001) Top Seller
Disney: The Music Behind the Magic Soundtrack CD music Recorded between 1974 & 1997. Includes liner notes by Jim Jenkins, Jacky Smith, Andy Davis, Phil Symes.
With Queen officially enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Hollywood Records reintroduces the band yet again with the release of Platinum Collection, Vols. 1-3. While Vols. I & II are full of Queen classics you already know by heart, the third cobbles together odds and sods from the far corners of Queen's canon along with solo cuts from Freddie Mercury and Brian May. Opening with the operatic rock classic "Bohemian Rhapsody," it's easy to hear not only how this British quartet achieved the kind of global acclaim that ensured they'd be enshrined alongside the likes of the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. When they weren't dabbling in playful, '50s-flavored rock & roll ("Crazy Little Thing Called Love"), catchy glam ("Killer Queen"), or hard-edged funk ("Another One Bites the Dust"), Queen was capable of delivering heartfelt love letters ("You're My Best Friend"). The band's '80s output is equally intriguing, ranging from the hard-hitting "Headlong" to duets with David Bowie ("Under Pressure") and soaring movie anthems ("One Vision"). The third volume features more movie themes ("Princes of the Universe"), Freddie Mercury covering the Platters ("The Great Pretender"), and cameos by contemporary artists like Wyclef Jean, George Michael, and Elton John.
All tracks have been digitally remastered.
Producers include: Queen, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, David Richards, Mike Moran.
Queen: Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon.
Additional personnel: Elton John, George Michael, David Bowie, Montserrat Caballe (vocals); Wyclef Jean, Pras (rap vocals).

Disney Princess: The Ultimate Song Collection CD (2004) Top Seller
Disney: The Music Behind the Magic Soundtrack buy CD music Disney Princess The Ultimate Song Collection is one of the better ideas for a Disney compilation: it's a collection of most of the memorable songs sung by the princesses in films spanning Snow White and the Seven Dwarves to Pocahontas and Mulan. The album opens with "If You Can Dream," a new song featuring all of the vocal talents behind the princesses in the later Disney movies. Like most diva collaborations, it's less than the sum of its parts, with bland songwriting detracting from the performances of Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid's Ariel), Lea Salonga (Aladdin's Jasmine and Mulan), Judy Kuhn (Pocahontas), and Paige O'Hara (Beauty and the Beast's Belle). However, the rest of the collection is strong, serving up memorable songs from latter-day Disney films like The Little Mermaid's "Part of Your World" and "Kiss the Girl" and The Lion King's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." Kuhn's performances of Pocahontas' "Just Around the Riverbend" and "Colors of the Wind" are also standouts due to her striking voice, which is stronger and more womanly than most of the other singers who have given their voices to Disney princesses. Happily, the love songs from the studio's classic films get their due as well: the purity and sweetness of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' "Someday My Prince Will Come," Cinderella's "So This Is Love," and Sleeping Beauty's "Once Upon a Dream" are welcome reminders of these films' enduring quality. While it's not as necessary as some other Disney best-ofs, Disney Princess: The Ultimate Song Collection is still a charming celebration of fairy-tale romance. ~ Heather Phares

Disney's Greatest, Vol. 1 CD (2001)
Disney: The Music Behind the Magic Soundtrack songs This is part of Walt Disney Records "DISNEY'S GREATEST" series.
Disney's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 delivers over an hour of favorite songs from films like Tarzan, Toy Story, Peter Pan, Lady & the Tramp, and more. Original recordings of classics like "Bibbidi-Bobidi-boo," "Cruella De Vil," "Heigh Ho," and "When You Wish Upon a Star" mix with contemporary favorites such as "You've Got a Friend in Me," "Kiss the Girl," "A Whole New World," and "Beauty and the Beast." The collection puts the newer songs at the beginning -- probably to immediately capture the attention of young listeners -- but it would have been interesting to hear Disney's old and new songs mixed together. Though it's not spectacularly different from the other compilations Disney has released, Disney's Greatest, Vol. 1 is a thoroughly enjoyable collection of classic, instantly recognizable songs for Disney fans of all ages. ~ Heather Phares
Includes liner notes by Leonard Maltin.
