Part of the Great AMERICAN IDOL album flood of late 2006, Kellie Pickler's solo debut features a winning set of country-pop tunes. Even though many other celebrated former contestants on the reality-TV show issued records around the same time, the North Carolina-based Pickler, with her easy-going Carrie Underwood-meets-Jessica Simpson charm, easily stood out from the pack, particularly with her carefree and slightly twangy single, "Red High Heels."

$9.59 Country purists may take offense at finding American Idol winner Carrie Underwood's debut album in the country section. An unabashedly manufactured commercial product, SOME HEARTS is the sound of mainstream country in the 2000s heavily steeped in glossy pop. None of this is to say that SOME HEARTS is not a good pop album. The combination ...
$8.99 Although Katharine McPhee placed as runner-up to Taylor Hicks in the fifth season of AMERICAN IDOL, the young singer's drop-dead-gorgeous looks and appealing contemporary pop sensibility had clearly earned her a devoted audience. That audience anxiously awaited an album from McPhee, and was ...

This remastered album from the classic hair rockers features tracks such as "In And Out of Love."
From the first mega-chorus shout of the album-opening "In and Out of Love," it's obvious that 7800 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT marks an evolution from Bon Jovi's debut. The image got bigger and so did the sound. The album went gold, and a year later the band shot to the stratosphere with SLIPPERY WHEN WET.
"The Price of Love" is a tight, well-written rocker categorized by its memorable Bon Jovi hook. "Only Lonely" is perfect pop metal with a great riff and even catchier solo. "Silent Night" is a true power ballad, before the term denoted the mandatory first single from every hair band. "Tokyo Road," the band's ...
