Remaining original Skid Row members Rachel Bolan, Dave "Snake" Sabo, and Scotti Hill offer up their second post-Bas effort, REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE. Crawling out from beneath various personal struggles that caused a delay in the album's completion, the band taps into the spirit that fueled their 1991 breakthrough, SLAVE TO THE GRIND. Uber-producer Michael Wagener dials in a meat-and-potatoes hard-rock vibe suiting the somewhat eclectic mix of songs.
Skid Row: Johnny Solinger (vocals); Scotti Hill, Snake (guitar); Rachel Bolan (bass guitar); Dave Gara (drums).

| Revolutions Per Minute Music Review Average Rating: (3.1 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews So what if Bach is Gone Since most of the reveiwers on here seem to be rather hung up on the fact that Sebastian Bach is no longer with the band. Let me say that he must not have been the only talent in the band. If they could release yet another rockin album without him. If you base Skid Row simply on that one former member. Why dont you go buy his solo slbums. Wich I might add are all made up of old Skid Row songs or Covers buy other artists. Real Skid Row fans will love this Album. And know how to move on. As it Rocks. Dissapointmen This album flat out sucks!, Skid Row had gotten worse and worse with time....it's not only the fact that Baz is not in the band anymore, the music is bad....they should call it a day, that's it, stop!. DO NOT BUY. Submitted by kelvinlugo (Toronto, ON, Canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Bach is the man Everyone on here says that Sollinger is as pretty much as good as Bach was...not in my book. No one could level up with Bachs voice. Skid Row isnt Skid Row without Bach. Rock On...Skid Rowers!!! Submitted by silversideup_87 (W.V. Usa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Pretty good, but not great 3 of the 12 tracks are total throw away, country-style jokes. And "White Trash" is a ridiculous song. They really detract from an otherwise fine metal album. Solinger is an awesome replacement for Bach. It's not much like their first 3 albums, and not as good as Thickskin, but the attitude and the talent are still there. Sebastian Bach isnt Skid Row!!!! The fact is that Skid Row still rocks without bach. They dont need his controlling attitude or ego. Johnny Solinger proves hes just as good if not better than baz on "Thick Skin" and "Rpm" both of the cds with Johnny sound more like old skid row than the last cd baz did with them in 95 Subhuman Race was an alternative/Grunge pile of garbage and that was Sebastians last cd with them. Comparing thick skin and rpm to subhuman race they both crush the weak sounding alternative crap on subhuman race!!!!!! Submitted by SkidRowRpm (Greenville S.C.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$12.95 While drummer Eddy Garcia and bassist Rick Valles have remained stalwart over Pissing Razors' six-year history, they've had some trouble fielding a consistent team. That lineup volatility continues with the band's sixth overall LP, which finds vocalist Andre Acosta and guitarist Matt Difabio joining the fold. Evolution is obviously an ambitious title for ...
| | Disincarnate Dreams Of The Carrion Kind CD (1993) (Import) Import; Sweden
Revolutions Per Minute
$20.99 Disincarnate's only album, Dreams of the Carrion Kind, was ostensibly the much anticipated "solo" showcase for journeyman guitarist James Murphy, whose personal legend had been built, almost entirely, upon a series of brief but highly praised cameos with influential bands Obituary, Death, and Cancer. As much as his capabilities as a principal songwriter and bandleader, however, Dreams became a living document of instrumental overindulgence gone ape, having been released near the zenith of the Floridian death metal scene's technical-cerebral maturity. As such, the album virtually requires that listeners approach it with a student's curiosity for inaccessible sounds and sheer technique, because nothing here is what you'd call "immediate" by any stretch of the definition (so be prepared to take notes while you mosh, kids!). Heck, even all these years later, ...

Revolutions Per Minute
$16.45 “Imagine – Indiana in Music and Words, which contains 15 tracks totaling 61+ minutes, includes tributes to the Hampton Sisters – recited by NEA Jazz Master David Baker, various Indiana Avenue jazz greats, and poet Etheridge Knight of Indianapolis, Hoagy Carmichael of Bloomington, and the southern Indiana hill country, the setting of many of Norbert’s poems. The CD also includes poems in response to work by John Lennon, Paul Simon, and Bob Dylan. A 20-page booklet includes the texts of all 14 poems on the CD, a collage of color performance photos, and images related to the subjects of the poems. Late jazz great Bob Berg can also be heard on a track dedicated to the trauma of losing an unborn child. Monika and Norbert think of what they are doing as a contemporary Indiana form of chamber music, an accessible combination of jazz and poetry. Some of what they do can be traced to Beat Poetry and jazz of the 1950s, but they take it in their own direction, with their individual sensibilities and everyday concerns shining through. At the core of their collaboration is a love of Hoosier heritage. Monika Herzig BioHerzig has been performing as a professional jazz pianist for more than fifteen years and has completed a Doctorate in Music Education and Jazz Studies at Bloomington's Indiana University. Currently she teaches in the Arts Administration program at IU. As a touring jazz artist, she has performed at many prestigious jazz clubs and festivals, such as the Indy Jazz Fest, Cleveland’s Nighttown, Louisville’s Jazz Factory, the W.C.Handy Festival, Jazz in July in Bloomington and Cincinnati, Columbus’ Jazz & Rib Fest, to name just a few. Groups under her leadership have ...
