One of Los Horoscopos de Durango's most accessible outings, 2006's DESATADOS finds the popular ensemble applying its Mexican duranguense sound to both traditional-minded songs and pop tunes. Fronted by vocalists Marisol and Vicky Terrazas, the group offers up energetic, entertaining covers of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" ("Solo Quiero Bailar," which also is presented in English) and ABBA's "Take a Chance on Me" ("Solo Piensa en Mi").

Horoscopos de Durango son #1
Este cd es uno de los mejores y tiene canciones muy buenas como, Mi Amor Por Ti, Como Te Va Mi Amor, Dolor De Amor, El No Eres Tu, Como Tu Mujer, Solo Quiero Bailar, entre muchas mas. Tiene de todo un poco. La verdad les recomiendo el cd y arriba Horoscopos de Durango

Although at first listen La Oreja de Van Gogh's third release might sound like a slick rehashing of the same pop formula that had brought the group consistent commercial success, Lo Que Te Conté Mientras Te Hacías la Dormida (What I Told You While You Pretended to Be Asleep) merits closer attention. Beyond some similarities to their earlier work -- nostalgic lyrics, ridiculously catchy choruses, and lead singer Amaia Montero's seemingly fragile delivery -- this album displays far greater emotional and musical range than do their earlier efforts. Montero and keyboard player Xabi San Martín continue to write most of the music, and guitar player Pablo Benegas most of the lyrics, but there are some notable exceptions, like album opener and first single "Puedes Contar Conmigo" (You Can Count on Me), written entirely by Montero. Here she abandons any former posturing as a helpless little girl and sings not about a fairy tale, but about love that's flawed and recognizable; when the final chorus slows, the spare outline of Montero's voice shapes a real and exquisite moment of heartbreak. In "Tú y Yo," a collaboration among all three musicians, the lyrics are simpler than elsewhere, but with their wry and modern self-awareness, they are also cleverer. San Martín takes full credit ...

Jaime Y Los Chamacos are simply one of the finest conjunto bands on the circuit. Accompanied as always by their well-known little white canine mascot (Buddy de Anda), the boys boast another 10 tracks of goodness with the fan-dedicated FANATICOS. While the songwriting is as appealing as that of some of their contemporaries, the band's musicianship is truly outstanding. Jaime de Anda plays sweet melodies and fills on the accordion with dexterity and taste. The combination of his vocals with bassist Edward Ordonez' provide a nice oscillation between lightness and grit, sentimentality and resolve.
