Owen Wilson, Kate Hudson and Matt Dillon deliver non-stop laughs and fun in You, Me and Dupree. Newlyweds Carl and Molly (Dillon and Hudson) are just beginning their life together when Carls oldest friend, the down-and-out bachelor Randy Dupree (Wilson), crashes on the couch. One comic mishap follows another, and soon it becomes obvious that twos company, but Duprees a crowd. Youll laugh til it hurts with this hilarious, outrageous comedy! Carl Peterson (Matt Dillon) and Randy Dupree (Owen Wilson) have been friends forever. But everything changes when Carl marries Molly Thompson (Kate Hudson) and best man Dupree becomes the third wheel. Free-spirited Dupree's antics suddenly seem juvenile and Carl has to decide where his loyalty lies--with his new wife or his best friend. Still, when Carl discovers that Dupree is down on his luck--he's lost his job, his company car, and his apartment--he invites his best buddy to move in until he's back on his feet. Unfortunately, Dupree isn't exactly Molly's idea of the perfect houseguest. This perpetual bachelor is really an overgrown kid who moves in with a giant moosehead, likes to sleep in the buff, has some unpleasant hygiene issues, and treats life like one big party. Despite Dupree's inability to grow up, he has a good heart: he's just trying to find his niche and enjoy every day along the way.
To make matters worse for Molly, Carl has become a cranky workaholic since his boss, Molly's father (Michael Douglas), promoted him. Disheartened by her new husband's late hours, Molly begins to spend more time with Dupree and to see his softer side--something that even Carl has never been aware of. Carl, meanwhile, begins to resent his lackadaisical friend and to question his motives. Ultimately, it's up to Dupree to get Carl and Molly back on track. Wilson gives Dupree a puppy-dog quality that makes him immensely likable, even when he's screwing up. Dillon is surprisingly funny as the straight man in the duo, trying to balance his old life with his new responsibilities. Supporting actor Seth Rogen is a hoot as Carl and Dupree's friend, Neil, who desperately wants to be his own man but is completely under his wife's thumb. Theatrical Release: July 14, 2006 You, Me And Dupree Reviews: "Wilson provides his usual shaggy charm as a Peter Pan slacker disrupting the newlyweds..." -- Leah Greenblatt, Entertainment Weekly "[Wilson] keeps it afloat. The shrewdness of his performance is that he makes Dupree adorable and overbearing at the same time..."
-- Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly 3 stars out of 5 -- "Wilson keeps the film together...[with] another performance of scene-stealing bohomie..."

You, Me And Dupree Movie Review Another dumb comedy Another reason why I don't watch comedies. They start of well, good characters, good laughs & then the last part of the movie unfolds into crap. Found it to be a waste of time. Wilson was funny, as the room-mate that never leaves. He did good at the normal role he plays. Hudson is still compelling & beautiful & Dillion played a good role as the loving, but jealous husband. Thought all the characters had chemistry. I also like seeing Douglas play a role out of the ordinary for him. Oh, & look for supporting role by Seth Rogan. He should have played a bigger role!! If you watch it, watch the first hour & then quit. This way you feel like you didn't waste your time. Submitted by lw (Iowa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful. $10.49 (MP3 Available for Download) Personnel: Fergie (vocals); Rita Marley & The J-Three's (vocals); will.i.am (rap vocals, keyboards, programming); Ludacris (rap vocals); George Pajon (guitar); Nate Hills (drums, percussion); Jay Anderson (background vocals). The association that versatile pop chanteuse Fergie (aka Stacy Ferguson) struck up with the hip-hop crew Black Eyed Peas (she was central to their hugely successful 2003 release, ELEPHUNK) proved she was capable of playing in the big leagues, and it was only a matter of time before the singer dropped a solo effort. THE DUTCHESS arrived in 2006 and was packed, not surprisingly, with slick, commercially viable pop-rap. The first release on Black Eyed Pea will.i.am's record label, THE DUTCHESS seems intent on giving Beyonce, Kelis, and every female pop/R&B singer a run for her money. With production help from Polow the Don and will.i.am (who also contributes raps to a couple of songs), Fergie delivers a record ...

$9.99 Former porn director Gregory Dark's contemporary B-movie gorefest has all the necessary trappings to leave genre fans satisfied, and others slightly nauseous. The scene is set when a group of juvenile delinquents arrive at a roach-infested ruin of a hotel, where they have agreed to work ...

You, Me And Dupree DVD
$9.15 To discuss matters of taste in the context of LITTLE MAN defeats the purpose of its mere existence--this movie revels in its own base-level humor. However, even the Wayans brothers themselves acknowledge that they are making silly movies for as broad an audience as possible. While some of the sex jokes are perhaps a little too raunchy for children, the movie is packed with sub-Looney Tunes tomfoolery, not to mention a Looney Tunes plot (remember when Bugs Bunny took in Baby-Face Finster? The Wayans brothers certainly do), making this perfect fodder for kids--or adults with a juvenile sense of humor.

Despite small budgets and a lack of bona fide star power, the Wayans Brothers have proven to be one of the most commercially successful comedy teams in the Hollywood of the early 2000s. The brothers rose to fame in the 1990s via the IN LIVING COLOR sketch television show and later the gross-out satire-lite of the ...

$9.19 In 1984, director Michael Mann made television--and fashion--history with his action-packed, neon-lit crime series, MIAMI VICE. The series was a hit for five years, and became a cultural phenomenon that altered male fashion trends and glamorized the drug game. Now Mann, who has made quite a career for himself in Hollywood, with Oscar-nominated films including ALI, HEAT, and THE INSIDER, supersizes and updates his small-screen hit for the moviegoing public, crafting a sparkling, roller-coaster ride of a movie that is perfectly complemented by its bright colors and kinetic movement. MIAMI VICE follows the violent adventures ...
