For his second album, teen heartthrob Jesse McCartney worked with Kelly Clarkson's producer and co-writer John Shanks. Much like Clarkson's sophomore set, RIGHT WHERE YOU WANT ME is a credibility-boosting collection of fine, soulful pop-rock that shows McCartney to be a better singer (and, on four tracks, songwriter) than many of his Radio Disney peers. Highlights include the Justin Timberlake-like pop-soul of "What They Say" and "We Can Go Anywhere," and the more rock-oriented, Matchbox 20-style "Blow Your Mind."
Personnel: Jesse McCartney (vocals); Drew Ramsey (electric guitar, bass guitar, programming, background vocals); Shannon Sanders (keyboards, synthesizer, programming); Darin James (drums).

The additional materials saves this cd. I am fan of Jesse and I have all his cd's and dvd's. I was waiting for this special edition and I am enjoying to buy it at last. It's more "rocky" album, but in additional avcd we can listen to Jesse playing his voice and it is very pleasant. It seems he loves his singing.
This cd is a good step in his career,
but I am waiting for MORE!!!

Right Where You Want Me music CDs
$11.59 TEN, Pearl Jam's debut album, was released less than a month before Nirvana's NEVERMIND, and although it took longer to climb the pop charts it also hung around longer, eventually outselling its Seattle rival. Together, the two albums reinvigorated rock & roll, whose share of the pop marketplace had been slipping through the late 1980s. But while Nirvana's bruising punk rock was an all-out assault on the classic-rock dinosaur, Pearl Jam's accomplished hard rock was an attack from within the system.
The drawn-out, bluesy guitar riffing and anthemic choruses that dominated TEN instantly gave away roots in the same popular hard rock and heavy metal that Nirvana was intent on crushing. Indeed, before forming Pearl Jam, guitarist Stone Gossard and bassist Jeff Ament (who between them wrote most of the music on TEN) were the core of two '70s-influenced metal bands, Green River and Mother Love Bone. But in place of the self-aggrandizing, larger-than-life singers that led most such bands, Gossard and Ament found Eddie Vedder, an explosive vocalist with a ravaged ...

Right Where You Want Me songs
$9.29 In his quest to make a musical statement outside his role as Stone Temple Pilots frontman, Scott Weiland debuts with an album that reveals a music palette beyond the '90s grunge that became his band's trademark. Looking to David Bowie for inspiration, Weiland's approach is a chameleonic one that ...

| | Jimmy Buffett Live In Mansfield (Boston) MA CDs (2004)
Right Where You Want Me CD music
$14.29 Jimmy Buffett jumped on the bandwagon of fan-oriented no-frills live recordings in 2003, when he issued six two-CD sets of shows from his summer 2003 tour, and he concluded the collection with two final concerts released in January 2004, this one marking the end of the tour on Labor Day weekend in Mansfield, MA, and the other from Cincinnati cut four days earlier. Unlike the Grateful Dead, who began the live-album bonanza, and some of its other practitioners, notably the Allman Brothers Band and Phish, Buffett cannot claim to present radically different set lists from night to night, nor does his band play with enough improvisation to make different versions of his songs uniquely interesting. Instead, he plays pretty much the same songs. This show, for example, shares 21 songs out of 28, in nearly the same order, with the Mansfield show, the exceptions being some minor substitutions. All the songs a Parrot Head would expect -- "Son of a Son of a Sailor," "Come Monday," "Cheeseburger in Paradise," "A Pirate Looks at 40," "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes," "Margaritaville," "Volcano," "Fins" -- are played, and musically they don't differ much from the records or from hundreds of other performances. But the difference, and it's one Parrot Heads will appreciate it, is that unlike his more musically ...

| | Byrds CD (1973)
Right Where You Want Me songs
$9.69 The Byrds emerged in 1965 with one of the most identifiable sounds of the 1960s, and proceeded to evolve from folk-rock to psychedelia to country-rock. The Byrds were defunct by 1972, but re-grouped briefly in 1973, with all of its original members, to record one last album. BYRDS is in the country-steeped vein of the 1968 classic SWEETHEARTS OF THE RODEO, shimmering with chiming 12-string guitars and lush, multi-part harmonies. But while the signature sound is there, the album isn't on par with the band's classic material, namely because the songwriting is inconsistent (save Gene Clark's winning originals). Even so, the album belongs in any Byrds fanatic's collection, and is a suitable swan song from one of ...
| | John Dahlback Winners & Fools CDs (2008) Deluxe Edition; Enhanced CD
Right Where You Want Me album
$18.95 John Dahlbäck has never hid his desire to aim for the pop heights in his own way -- and compared to some in Europe who aim similarly, there's no question he's far more talented than those who seem only to want to be laughed at during the Eurovision Song Contest. But while Winners & Fools, Dahlbäck's third full-length, might be one of those records that's too pop for the purists and too straight-up dance for radio and TV, it's also one of those records that in falling in the middle succeeds very well all around. So while "Intro" is just that, a start for the album that feels like a moody chill piece with lead piano that is slightly screwed with toward the end to keep it from being a fully easy listen, the bold "Gold and Fear" is an even better album-starter, a piece of instrumental bombast that puts together a slew of perfectly obvious stuff in just the right way, teasing the listener with an ...
