Endless Wire album for sale by Who was released Oct 31, 2006 on the Universal Republic label. Neither time, nor the deaths of founding members, nor claims that they'll never play together again seem to stop the legendary Who. On 2006's ENDLESS WIRE, the band's first official studio full-length since 1982's IT'S HARD, Pete Townshend is still folding progressive structures and lofty themes into bombastic, arena-ready rock, while Roger Daltrey belts it out as though it were still 1976. Endless Wire CD music contains a single disc with 21 songs. ...See Full Description

Let me preface my comments by saying that The Who are my favorite rock band of all time. Not everything they produced was "legendary." but neither was every tune or album from The Stones or The Beatles. OK, back to earth. Endless Wire is average...at best. Hard core Who fans may not appreciate the lack of driving force behind thier new recording. Roger's voice lacks power and range, and the lyrics are just "plain-jane" compared to their previous work. The music isn't bad, but again, Who fans would expect no less. Bruce Springstein produced "Nebraska," and that one left me with a "W-T-F" did I just hear? feeling. I waited along with the rest of you, for this new WHO release, and this one just does not cut it (in my opinion.) I am holding out hope that Pete will continue to write and produce. Maybe next time he will summon some heartfelt anger, and release a more hard-driving recording. The best way to judge Endless Wire is to buy it and listen for yourself. At least it will earn them some cash so they can continue on! Long Live Rock ! John

I guess this what happens when you swallow a dictionary. That or your head is so far buried up your own exit hole that you forget about the fans. Its all a bit crappy apart from a couple of songs. OK GUYS, LINE UP BEHIND MR MCCARTNEY AND CLAPTON IN THE WASTING OUR TIME LANE.
