$10.75 Hope Sandoval basically disappeared from the scene following the release of 2001's BAVARIAN FRUIT BREAD. That album's tender and spooky folk seemed like a nice beginning for her post-Mazzy Star career and her musical partnership with ex-My Bloody Valentine drummer Colm O'Ciosoig ...

Vincent Cross songs
$18.99 Mardi Garcia â âMy Waking EyesâBy Don DiMuccio; MOTIF MAGAZINE, PROVIDENCE, RIJanuary 2, 2007Weâre all too familiar with many of our favoritemusic stars and their auspicious beginnings. Elvisfamously walked into Memphisâ Sun Studios torecord a simple demo for his mom and walked outinto rock & roll infamy. Brian Epstein descendedinto a dank, dark, cellar nightclub and happenedupon four lads from Liverpool who would literallychange our world. And what of New England born singer-songwriterMardi Garcia? Well, I think Iâll let her tell the tale:âStanding on stage at about six years old and I wassupposed to sing âThe Little Drummer Boyâ and Ipassed out. My memory is somebody carrying meto the nurseâs office... I think it was stage fright, Iâmnot sure.â Ahh, auspicious beginnings indeed!Luckily for us, Mardi not only got over her stagefright, but has parlayed her penetratinglyconstructed songwriting prowess onto the stages ofnot only ...
| | Jesikah Saetara No Voice CD (2007)
Vincent Cross album
$13.15 Jesikah Saetara was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Arts began early with a background in piano, dance and voice, but it was pots and pans that were her first instruments according to her parents.. "those and the bathtub.." and the violin by age 9. "I loved the violin till my Mom got a piano, then I had to choose. It was cool though because my babysitter was an accomplished player and taught me stuff when she was over. I ended up taking piano lessons from the same teacher. I took piano lessons for seven years and before I knew it I was in my first band."By 21 Jesikah was backing up a locally successful and signed artist. "I was really lucky back then to have known a lot of those people - they were older and smarter than I was and I learned so much in a short amount of time. They knocked the kinks out of me, shaped me up and put me out there."Jesikah spent 15 yrs. in local rock and dance bands such as 'Jordan's Crossing', 'Gradual Taylor', 'Jealous Bone' and used down time to apprentice at Ligosa, a local recording studio where she honed her own engineering and recording skills by observing some of the industryâs best: "Jerry Lane, Ashley Shepherd and Mark Liggett... now THATâS a trio.." After a few years on the road in the show band 'Funkytown' Jesikah hung up her dancing shoes and dropped anchor with her own recording studio. Early success in jingles and novelty songs led to the opening of her publishing company White Magic Music with a label to follow a couple of years later. âNo Voiceâ represents that labelâs first release. âInspiration and intuition are my tools... I wanted to merge my interests, consolidate my talents for a unique musical experience. I wanted to balance mind, body and spirit..that place where anything is possible to create something really personal and unique. I know that sounds cliche but it's true. I could care less about sounding conventional or predictable. I enjoy the element of suprise. If I need conventional I'll produce it for someone else. I'm focused on making music in the industry that can bring about change. Inner change that brings about outter change. I want to provoke conversation. Emotion. Connection. Attention. Realisation that we're all responsible. One of the greatest things about being an artist is the creativity aspect. Making something out of nothing. I'm fascinated with the elements. Earth, air, fire, water ...I've spent a long time with each one of them. Everything needed to manipulate or create change. These are strange times we live in. Changeable times and I'm emotional about ...
