(24 Customer Reviews)
Standard Screen; Soundtrack English This first part in a three-part anthology series includes some of Kiss's finest moments. Acclaimed as one of the best and most outrageous heavy metal bands of all time, Kiss are an extraordinary live act. The band showers the stage with pyrotechnics, beats out huge guitar riffs, and always performs in their trademark makeup. But all bands have to start somewhere, and Kiss got their start in small clubs, playing before a devoted following who had little idea how big the boys were going to get. This collection includes footage from that era, with three full-length concerts spanning the period 1974-1977 included, as well as rare material from their first-ever show in their native Queens, New York. Various promo shots and TV appearances are also included, making this a treasure trove of vintage Kiss! Kiss - Kissology Vol. 1 - 1974-1977 movie DVD
$25.59 The '70s saw an overabundance of live albums, with quite a few effectively launching various rock band's careers. This is especially true of Kiss and their classic 1975 double album, Alive! Since it was such a success, the group has issued follow-ups from time to time over their career, including 1977's Alive II and 1993's Alive III. So, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the masters of merchandising came up with the idea of issuing all three as a box set in 2006, Kiss Alive! 1975-2000. But to entice Kiss fanatics who already own the aforementioned three albums, a fourth unreleased live disc is included, Alive IV. Not to be confused with 2003's Kiss Symphony: Alive IV, the original Alive IV was set to be released in ...
