Rush - In Rio Movie Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Rush-masters of the 3 piece band These 3 Canadian rockers can show a thing or two about performing live. There is only an handful of performers who can pull it off and Rush is one of them-an odyssey of early to later Rush masterpieces. A must for any dedicated fan of Rush Submitted by 6923ga (Middle Village, NY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Rio Rush fans - best audience in the World. Great video - so-so audio. Not an audiophile recording. While the video shows varied views of all three performers, I think Peart is featured - if you've wanted to see the World's premier percussionist, get the DVD for this reason alone. Rio fans - ultra high energy for the whole show. Awesome. Submitted by dougp_abo (Michigan) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

| | Abba: The Movie DVD (1977) Remastered; DTS Sound
Rush - In Rio review
$17.35 The feverish madness of their March 1977 Australian tour was captured on film in director Lasse Hallstroem's film, which ramains as one of the precious few opportunities to experience the band live on stage. We follow radio disc jockey Ashley Wallace as he tries to hunt down the group for an exclusive, in-depth interview. The film has been fully restored and comes with remastered surround sound.
A cut above the average life-on-the-road-with-the-band film, ABBA: THE MOVIE emerged in 1977 at the height of the Swedish band's enormous global fame. Shot in Australia by fellow Swede Lasse Hallstrom (CHOCOLAT, THE CIDER HOUSE RULES), the film is ostensibly designed to give viewers a glimpse at the off-stage life enjoyed by the members of Abba, as well as the on-stage euphoria of their live shows. But there is also a fictional plot neatly interwoven into the action, with Hallstom's cameras following an Australian DJ named Austin (Robert Hughes), who tries to clinch an exclusive ...

Rush - In Rio DVD
$7.15 History in the making, Kanye West exploded in 2004 with his debut solo album COLLEGE DROPOUT, with multiple cuts that were ubiquitous on the radio; the album eventually swept the Grammys later that year. But before his solo hip hop career, Kanye was producing hits for the likes of Jay-Z, Lil' Kim, Nas, Alicia Keyes, Brandy, Jadakiss, Janet Jackson, and many others. This documentary traces his path to the top, showing how the Chicago rapper breathed a new life into hip hop with work that eschewed the bling and violence that dominated rap, adopting instead an appealing wit, humor, earnestness, and imbuing his lyrics with a charismatic but humble delivery.
Follow the journey of one of Hip Hops most talented and influential Grammy winning producers turned double platinum artist. Witness how this Chicago native made his mark in Hip ...

Rush - In Rio review

She's got things under control until she tries to break the bonds of her furry, sharp-toothed comrades. They're not an accepting bunch, and they're determined to bring her back into the fold.
