| | Brooke Pevear Bittersweet CD Brooke Pevear Discography of CDs
We are an acoustic duo singing and playing original songs. Although, not wishing to be categorized, our style could be described as contemporary folk, influenced by a varietal of styles and inspired from the heart. We have been playing music in the Finger Lakes region of New York for many years collectively, but officially teamed up in the fall of 2003. Our sound is defined by the combination of original reflective lyrics, resonating harmonies and down to earth acoustic accompaniment. You can find us playing in a variety of places, including music festivals, wineries, cafe's and coffee shops, even private parties and celebrations. Our most recent CD, Bittersweet, showcases the latest of Brooke's original compositions combined with the rich sound of Brooke and Elaine's vocal harmony. Bittersweet album
$10.15 TIME (tHE REVELATOR) was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album.
Displaying a remarkable consistency of vision, Gillian Welch sticks to her guns on her third album, by limiting the sonic palette to the twin acoustic guitars and vocals of herself and partner David Rawlings (and a touch of banjo). With all the hip cred she's built up, especially with ...

Bittersweet music CDs
$13.59 There is an undeniable charm in the whimsy and subdued kitsch of these affably mellow melodies. This two-fer from Collectors' Choice Music gathers the Sandpipers' 1966 release Guantanamera, as well as their self-titled follow-up from 1967. These were the highest charting long-players that the trio -- consisting of vocalists Jim Brady, Mike Piano, and Richard Shoff -- issued, reaching number 13 and number 53 respectively on the pop album charts. ...

Bittersweet CD music
$6.05 Maria Muldaur's self-titled debut record instantly established Muldaur as a major talent and began a career-long melding of American musical styles. Fun, cheerful, and full of the sheer love of playing music, MARIA MULDAUR uses bits of country, pop, blues, rock & roll, jug band, early jazz, and all other manner of roots music to create what could be called one of the first true Americana albums. The record also produced ...
| | Wicked: A New Musical CD (2003)
Bittersweet music CDs
$14.95 Based on Gregory Maguire's novel of the same name, the Broadway musical WICKED creates a history for the two witches from L. Frank Baum's OZ books. Through composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz's emotive songs, the show reveals the unlikely friendship between Elphaba (Idina Menzel), who eventually becomes the Wicked Witch, and Glinda (Kristin Chenoweth), the Good Witch.
The dramatic, horn-laden "No One Mourns the Wicked" starts the story in striking fashion, with the death of the ruby-slipper-wearing ...

$6.55 Evolution of the Invincible Songbirds To The New SongbirdsA fantastic group with substance and style was formed in the 1960's and later to renew itself in the early 1980's have been an amazing transformation. The big song that was a beginning for the Invincible Songbirds was "Too Close" initially done by Brother Alex Bradford, it made the group Hall of Fame material. The then Invincible Songbirds were Reverend Ben Colvin (now deceased) and his wife, Eddie Mae headed the group but Dave Richardson, Lester Johnson and William Bufkin had a lot to do with it's success. After a few years Dave Richardson and Lester Johnson along with another member not with the original group got together and signed with a major label to do a song that caught on called "Heart Full Of Love". Now becoming a secular group, they called themselves "The Invincibles". In the 80's former members of the Songbirds headed by its original leaders, the incomparable Reverend Ben Colvin and his wife met with songwriter and producer, Mel Alexander in recording an array of songs that were released on various albums from Kris Label.Later another member and guitarist, Don Pierce was added as a valuable asset. He wrote and sang a wonderful song "I'll Take Jesus" which is a favorite of mine. These other two songs are traditional in every sense that can be enjoyed by everyone. "He'll See You Through" and "Time is Getting Shorter" without a doubt are testimonial and revealing. A must for gospel lovers of God.Mel Alexander ProducerWYNNDE VESSUP: ARTIST & ACTRESSHer mother and oldest sister inspired Wynnde Vessup at the very early age of 4 singing in front of the church audience. Her father was the pastor at the time in San Bernardino, CA. Her family first Gospel release, "Show the Love" ...

| | Rebecca Loebe Brooklyn Series CD (2007)
Bittersweet songs
$13.95 Rebecca Loebe is best known for her energetic live performances. Her songbird voice carries the show while her buoyant personality captivates audiences and has them laughing, shouting and singing along. Fans of the Americana/folk tradition identify with her breezy storytelling while audiences of mainstream pop/rock sing along to her catchy, confessional original songs. In the past year she has performed 150 shows and shared the stage with Sophie B. Hawkins, Ellis Paul, Halcyon and classic rock legend America. It hasn't been too long since Rebecca was working as an engineer at a Boston recording studio, fresh of out college and quietly recording on her own folk/rock songs during off-hours. Encouraged by support and participation from 2-time Grammy award winner Robert Hadley (mastering engineer whose credits include Stevie Nicks, Carly Simon and The Dixie Chicks), Rebecca released this collection of material as her full-length debut solo album, Hey, its a Lonely World. The debut album quickly got the attention of critics and music fans in the northeast (Mary Hamilton of the Northeast Performer hailed her vocal delivery as "part inside joke and part prayer"), and Rebecca began calling out shifts at the studio to keep up with her rapidly-increasing tour schedule.Fresh off a whirlwind college tour in the spring of 2007, ...
