This album's title is a tribute to Prince Be's newborn son, Christian, through whom Be has experienced his own rebirth. DEAR CHRISTIAN...is an exploration of new territory for a group pegged as the hippies of hip-hop only a few short years before. Nevertheless, PM Dawn put together an album that is more John Lennon (or at least early Lenny Kravitz) than Puff Daddy or LL Cool J. Tracks like "Being So Not For You," "If I Could Be Your Star" and "Screaming At Me" show the depth in Prine Be's songwriting as well as the group's direct focus on fresh-sounding material.
More pop/R&B than hip-hop, DEAR CHRISTIAN is an album that fights specific genre classification due to the band's many influences. Blues, pop, soul, rock and the sounds of Marvin Gaye and John Lennon reverberate throughout the album's thirteen tracks.

Mary is a dazzling and dynamic addition to the Canadian children's music scene. Her wonderful voice and colourful performances are filled with infectious music, sheer energy and tons of audience participation. In the past ten years, Mary has toured and performed over 2000 shows at schools, music festivals and family focused events throughout Canada.Sing Out Fire Safety- HistoryTownship of Beckwith Fire Chief, Dale Currie, took his family to Kingston, Ontario to see a performance by family entertainer, Mary Lambert, in March of 1999. After taking part in one of Mary's interactive shows, he struck up a conversation with her. On the way home he had a wonderful idea to create songs about fire safety so that kids could learn through interactive music. After some further consideration, Fire Chief Currie contacted Mary to see if she would like to write some songs and produce an entire fire safety performance for schools. Mary was very excited to do this, and after researching all of the information, things fell into place very quickly. With the support of The Lanark County Fire Departments, during National Fire Prevention week of 1999, Lambert and the fire chiefs were able to provide over 20 schools with a wonderful, colourful musical performance. The show was very well received by all of the children and teachers alike. After receiving rave reviews from the shows, Currie approached Lambert about recording a CD & cassette to be ready for National Fire Prevention Week, 2000. About the CD Fast Food Automaton is a collection of works covering two "creative periods" separated by more than a decade: 1989-91 and 2005-06. The musical selections here draw from a wide range of influences and persuasions, from rock to jazz to classical music. Given the title(an 'automaton', if you don't know the word, is a mechanized human), and another piece: Five Bangatelles, which I sandwiched in between the regular tunes, the CD has a kind of robotic feel or underlying motif. I try to make each of my CDs unique in some way, and this one is, if nothing else(besides the 'Mr Machine' vibe), the only CD of my now 18 that has vocals on it(the title tune and 'Big Bang') My vocals at that.
