Dan England EP
$7.59 Digitally remastered by Bernie Grundman (Bernie Grundman Mastering, Los Angeles, California).
Jackson's domination of the world record market continued following Thriller, although by comparison it was an almighty flop with only 12 million sales. As Pink Floyd and Dire Straits have proved, one album can go completely sales haywire without necessarily being any better. The title track and the gorgeous "Man In The Mirror" were substantial hits, but quality ...
| | Journey Greatest Hits CD (1988) Bonus Track; Remastered; Digipak
Dan England EP
$9.29 This is a Super Audio CD playable only on Super Audio CD players.
Along with Styx and REO Speedwagon, Journey ruled the charts and radio airwaves in the early '80s. And like the aforementioned bands, Journey began in the '70s, so obviously the compilers of its 1988 GREATEST HITS release had a lot of material to choose from.
Journey's sound was a merger of hard rock, compliments of guitarist Neal Schon, and the melodic pop/ballads of singer Steve Perry. This resulted in such classic rock radio staples as "Any Way You Want It," "Separate Ways," "Open Arms," "Don't Stop Believin'," "Wheel in the Sky," and "Who's Crying Now," all included here.
Greatest Hits is an excellent, thorough 14-track collection containing all of Journey's big hits, from 1978's "Wheel in the Sky" to 1986's "I'll Be Alright Without You." Although the songs aren't presented in chronological order and a handful of minor hits ("Suzanne," ...

Dan England EP
$16.49 Although it had shifted from being a jazz group to being a dance band with the rise of the Depression, Ben Pollack & His Orchestra was still an impressive group in early 1931. Trombonist Jack Teagarden was its star soloist and the band contained the nucleus of what would become the Bob Crosby Orchestra ...

Dan England EP
$13.15 Lyrics and Music : Roddo FabVocals and Instruments: Roddo FabOne-man studio band RODDO FAB INDUSTRIES returns with an album of unforgettable , retro-style tunes inspired by The Beatles, solo Lennon and Harrison, The Rutles, Robyn Hitchcock , and Squeeze. Roddo Fab has toiled away in the cozy environs of the bonsai desert, super-secret, Cacti Road Studios to bring you truly original songs containing actual, real music- not 21st century noise and babbling, mind you - and the feel and flavour of the 60’s, 70’s, and a touch of the 80’s. The RODDO FAB INDUSTRIES sound has been called “Art-Pop”: Songs that make you think a bit, but are also infectious, unassuming, memorable, and genuinely musical . A splash of Merseybeat, a touch of Motown, a hint of New Wave, a ½ teaspoon of Jazz, a whisper of the Psychedelic, and a whole ton of old-fashioned, high quality tunesmith work creates the RODDO FAB INDUSTRIES recipe for serving up Pop delicacies. Sugar Plum Plastic tells of a man bewitched by a ballerina whose love wore as thin as the ...

Dan England EP
$11.49 File this one under "Power Pop for Guitarists." That's not to say that non-guitarists won't enjoy it -- just about every song is layered with sweet musical confectionery that will please any fan of classic pop songcraft. But the real goodies that are hidden beneath the lush psychedelic choruses and the tight melodic hooks are for initiates in the Brotherhood of Tone. Notice, for example, the fuzzy density of the guitar solo on "Radio Man," and the wailing weirdness of the backing guitars on the reggae-flavored "Lollipop Guild." Other aspects of Fuller's songcraft are more backward-looking without being any less creative. Check out "Sunglass Wardrobe" with its jaunty Tin Pan Alley-by-way-of-the-Beatles melody and lyrics that are sort of a mirror-image of "When I'm Sixty-Four." (The guitar solo on that one is so weird that it may actually be a synth solo -- the fact that it's hard to tell is ...
