For the 2006 live-action adaptation of E.B. White's beloved children's book CHARLOTTE'S WEB, the filmmakers enlisted renowned composer Danny Elfman to craft a score for the touching animal tale. In addition to Elfman's beautiful orchestral pieces (see the vibrant "Main Title" and the breezy "Fall Montage"), the album includes the light, thoughtful "Ordinary Miracle," a previously unreleased song performed by Sarah McLachlan.
A heartfelt soundtrack that lives up to E.B. White's classic tale of a lovable pig, Danny Elfman's original score to the 2006 live-action film version of Charlotte's Web finds the often quirky composer mixing his trademark wondrous and spooky style with a more classical sound that brings to mind the work of iconic American composer Aaron Copland. The move is a fitting one given that Charlotte's Web takes place on a farm and, in that sense, Elfman's work here most closely borrows from Copland's "Appalachian Spring."
