| | Daniel Rogers This Side Of The Green Arrow CD (2005)
El Espiritu Del Vino album
$10.65 Daniel Rogers is a songwriter/composer living in Columbus, Ohio. His debut CD, THIS SIDE OF THE GREEN ARROW, is a self-produced concept album following a psychological progression through coping in wartime, personal loss, inner detachment, and the search for bliss.Review excerpts:"It's always a thrill to get one's hands on an impressive album that no one knows about, and 'This Side of the Green Arrow' is a gorgeous collection of soul-stretching songs. This is an album that listeners can dig into like a good book, with a menagerie of influences and approaches...of the many highly-hyped albums that rose and fell in 2006, it's a shame that 'This Side of the Green Arrow' got overlooked." - Charles Martin, Indie-Music "The album is...rich and deep, always compelling you to take a bit of a chance. Singer/songwriter blues-pop that doesn't fit in one particular genre or another. Lyrically it's interesting and intricate. Check it out."- J-Sin, Smother Magazine"...tranquil piano and acoustic guitar, discreet percussions, but there is an underlying tension. Contributing to the somber and tense mood is Daniel Rogers' lead vocals!reminds me of Roger Waters![the album] is very well produced and the performances and compositions are very good!Daniel Rogers is a musician to keep an eye on, for sure." - Marc Roy, Proggnosis "Rogers has a very good voice; conveying emotions small and large alike easily and with ...
| | Micah Anderson CD (2008)
El Espiritu Del Vino CD music
$6.39 Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. Victor HugoMicah Anderson's journey with music is one that sets him apart from many others. He is a composer, a lyricist, a singer, and a musician creating from his mind and delivering to you through his fingers and voice. Micah possesses an intuitive gift of music from which he reaps the accolades of those who appreciate his ability to one's deepest thoughts and emotions.A native of the Northern California, Micah has been writing and playing music since the age of 14. It was while a summer student at the Berklee School Of Music that he made a life long commitment to writing and performing his music. In 2003, desiring to be in the mecca of the music industry and yet at the same time expand his formal education, Micah enrolled at CSU Northridge. Once there, Micah dedicated the next few years to achieving a degree in political science and had also successfully co-produced and recorded his first album All That It Is. Though his experience in Los Angeles taught him a great deal about the music industry he desired to expand his musical horizons in a new direction with new venues so he was led in 2006 to move back to the bay area. Micah's first CD, All That It Is, intertwines progressive rock blues melodies with acoustic and electric guitars. His strong vocals and purposeful lyrics surround social, political and religious issues. 'Earthy. That's the word that keeps coming to mind as I explore the music made by Micah Anderson. It has the rich texture of fertile soil. It has roots that stretch deep into the ground of musical influence. And it has the bright vividness of colors and smells and sensations that can only be found in nature. It is down-to-earth; earthy. The detailed riffs of Anderson's guitar, the long pull on his harmonica ! these things make you feel like the heat of the Earth's core is coming up through the land and warming your heart. You can put your ear to the ground of his music and sense the vibrations of an oncoming audio train. You can lift your chin to the heights that he reaches as the instrumentals climax and feel the slight wind of their melody there. ' San Francisco Voice August 14, 2007Micah's self-titled 2008 EP Micah Anderson takes the listener in a new direction. Working along side New York producer Anthony ...
