Released after Thom Yorke's acclaimed 2006 album, THE ERASER, the SPITTING FEATHERS EP finds the Radiohead frontman further mining that laptop outing's spare, melancholy vein. In addition to an extended mix of "Harrowdown Hill" (from the aforementioned record), this disc includes intriguing non-album tracks such as the ominously frenetic "Drunkk Machine" and the skittering "Iluvya," which, like many Radiohead B-sides, reveal that Yorke has plenty of great material to offer outside of his standard full-length offerings.
Japanese-only enhanced CD EP (packaged in a mini-LP sleeve) from the Radiohead frontman featuring six audio tracks plus two enhanced videos. Although Radiohead began life in the midst of the Britpop scene of the '90s, Yorke's distinctive vocal tones set the band apart from their contemporaries and they have continued to blossom with each enthusiastically-received release. On his solo album, The Eraser, Yorke took the arty, electronic side of Radiohead to the next level, creating an album very different from his band's work, but a logical step forward for Yorke himself.
