The group Tzar was formed in the early 1980's , this group was a family affair : Peter Tahan was the lead singer, bass player and songwriter of the group , Frank Tahan was the leader and vocalist and guitar player, he also wrote 3 songs on the album John Tahan was the ever so versatile and hot guitar player writing all the lead material on the album, John was also doing vocals,Guy Morin was named the (animal)because of his hard hitting style on the drums. The group split up in the late 1980's to pursue other endeavours and single careers in the music business.Today Peter Tahan works at Bell Canada and still has a part time group and writes more up to date material. John and Frank Tahan opened computer stores and are still active in the music business writing songs and playing music from time to time.Last we heard of Guy Morin he was a truck driver for purolator. We like to thank all of our fans that have supported us through the years and our family and a special thanks to our mother Christiane Tahan who passed away on November 1st 2003 of Pulmonary Hypertension. God bless you mother. The Tahan brothers are still active in the music business and a reunion is in the works. Players Of The Game music CDs
$13.59 The third studio album from Canadian arena rockers Three Days Grace treads familiar ground, presenting 12 slabs of the kind of reliable, accessible, and serviceable hard rock that will always have an audience. 2006's ONE-X dealt heavily with vocalist Adam Gontier's personal demons, a theme that continues on LIFE STARTS NOW, albeit with a hint of sunlight. With a sound that lands somewhere in between Breaking Benjamin, Collective Soul, and Godsmack--Gontier sounds ...
| | Metallica Death Magnetic CD (2008)
Players Of The Game songs
$15.65 In the five years between the two releases, Metallica seem to have gotten back in touch with the raw power of their classic period, with a little help from legendary producer Rick Rubin. One listen to the 10-minute epic "Suicide & Redemption" with its mix of raw rock ferocity and complex musical development should tell you the old Metallica's back in business. Long tracks with complex structures and intricate, speedy riffs abound. Most appealing for longtime fans may be the return to the frenzied guitar solos of yore. Rubin seems to have assisted the band on a path that successfully combines ...
| | Slayer Reign In Blood CD (1986)
Players Of The Game album
$9.59 Slayer's major-label debut remains one of the most brutal metal albums ever recorded, uncompromising in its extremes; ironically, it's their mainstream breakthrough release. Infusing its thrash sound with a hardcore-punk influence, the cacophonous quartet shifts from supernatural terror to real-life horrors with shorter songs such as "Necrophobic" and "Postmortem". The change is most notable on the gruesome depiction of Nazi butcher Josef Mengele on the frenzied epic "Angel of Death". Only the apocalyptic closing number, "Raining Blood," hearkens back to the semi-melodic Slayer style from SHOW NO MERCY and ...
| | Wishbone Ash Argus CD (1972) Bonus Tracks; Remastered; Expanded Edition
Players Of The Game CD music
$6.49 On its third album, Wishbone Ash doesn't mess with its formula--as before, this long running British rock institution purveys a mix of blues, folk, and Yes- style riffs mated to endearingly cosmic lyrics. The songs here, however, are considerably more focused and well crafted than on the band's previous efforts, and the harmony singing is delightful.
As always, the band's basis ...
| | Encores, Legends & Paradox: An Emerson, Lake & Palmer Tribute CD (1999)
Players Of The Game music CDs
$14.65 The progressive metal-oriented Magna Carta label assembled a tribute album dedicated to Emerson, Lake & Palmer, with arrangers Robert Berry and Trent Gardner playing major roles in determining the music's direction. Encores, Legends & Paradox varies wildly, not only because of typical tribute album problems (some artists sticking too close to the original versions, others not quite capturing its essential elements), but also because Gardner's arrangements tend to be generic and ineffective. There are some good moments, and some decent ones below those, but digging them out might be more effort than many ELP fans are willing to invest. ~ Steve Huey

| | Bluegrass U.S.A. CD (2002)
Players Of The Game album
$14.29 One might expect from the mood of the United States in 2002 that Bluegrass U.S.A. had something to do with patriotism, but it doesn't -- at least not directly. Instead, the collection insinuates that bluegrass, like jazz, is an American art form, and that gathering a number of traditional favorites is by its very nature a patriotic act. A number of classic performers -- Jim & Jesse, Grandpa Jones, and the Osborne Brothers -- are on hand to offer nifty renditions of "Sleepy Eyed John," "Are You From Dixie?," and "Hillbilly Fever." The fun thing about a collection like this is having all of these songs in one place, as though one was listening to a 40-minute radio program of bluegrass favorites. There's fancy ...
