Vulture Culture songs Product Information
Vulture Culture album for sale by Alan Parsons Project / Alan Parsons was released Mar 03, 2009 on the Sony Music label. As the title suggests, Vulture Culture explores the tendencies the modern world has to feed off of each other, circling around for the losers, since you either "use it or you lose it." Musically, it's a bit tougher and more ambitious than Ammonia Avenue, though it basically reiterates the same themes as its predecessor, only in a more abstract way. APP sonics survive the shift to digital format rather well--never thought a proponent of vinyl from MFSL would ever say that, but I have to acknowledge the transfer kept the rich tones alive. So, if you're worried about losing something in the translation, you can stop sweating it. The alternate takes are rather interesting, and the naked vulture provides a good introduction/overview to someone unfamiliar with the Project's work. If you already have VC, I think it's worthwhile to obtain this disc for the extras. Good stuff.

Great CD featuring "Let's Talk About Me" and "Days Are Numbers" The sound quality on this newly remastered CD is nothing short of brilliant !!

||An Overlooked Gem|
An excellent APP CD that somehow never received the acclaim it should have. Great songs, especially "Sooner Or Later", and "Days Are Numbers", which should have been a gigantic hit and became a standard.

This album, being that most worthy of asperations of the musical world,the concept album deals with the evils of the consumorist society. Or the ME factor. The lyrics are some of the best that Eric Woolfson has ever penned,with a biting humorous sarcasm which add weight to the radio-friendly tunes that populate the well produced disc. My favourite song the title track sung by my favourite Project vocalist,Lenny Zakatek says it all about the sleazy Hollywood superfiality,delivered in a lazy funky style idealy suited to the subject matter.
