Zeke Panitz and Kevin MacKenzie met in college and started writing songs together and playing out. But the two of them by themselves wasn't enough so Jaime Rioux was added to give us that sweet three part harmony and later Shaemus Shepard was added on drums. We are band that loves to keep it real. Our music is honest, sincere, and to the point, but also fun and catchy. Kevin; guitar player, singer and one half of the songwriting team for the few loves peanut buttter sandwiches and spinning straw into gold. Zeke, the piano player with the heavy left hand, singer, and the other half of the songwriting team loves making babies. The beautiful, the delicious, Jaime Rioux, singer and tamberine player for The Few who in the meantime is president of a small country and last but not least the newest member, Shaemus Shepard, drummer by night banker by day and hung over by morning. KC's debut album introduced to the world a group that threw various '60s genres into a blender and set the results afire with a blowtorch. One of the pioneers of the progressive rock movement that began in the late '60s and flourished in the early '70s, King Crimson was arguably the most consistently creative band in the genre. ...

The Southside Of Somewhere album
$15.45 When he was recording his debut album in 2006, Chris Daughtry didn't have the time to assemble the real rock band he so desperately wanted to have, so it appeared under the band name Daughtry without featuring any of the musicians who later became part of the group. That's not the case with LEAVE THIS TOWN, Daughtry's second record: all five members are glowering on the album cover, floating like specters over an abandoned Californian street. The five rockers serve as visual evidence that Daughtry is a band, not a person, and such reminders may be necessary because LEAVE THIS ...
| | Sting If On A Winter's Night... CDs (2009) Digipak
The Southside Of Somewhere CD music
$12.19 It's no secret that Sting is a serious man, so it's only logical that his holiday album -- his first new music since the Police reunion, not that it really matters -- is a serious endeavor, thank you. No niceties for him, no comforts of carols; he favors formal over familiar, writing madrigals, not ditties. It is music made by someone who lives in a castle, which isn't necessarily such a bad thing: the austerity is genuine, not affected, and the cerebral nature of the album is fascinating, albeit mildly so, as this is as sleepy as it is thoughtful. And it's that thoughtfulness that does distinguish IF ON A WINTER NIGHT...; no other Christmas album exists ...

| | Final Solutions Songs By Solutions CD (2007)
The Southside Of Somewhere album
$15.19 It may seem silly to talk about songwriting chops when discussing Memphis' Final Solutions, a group of art-damaged punks who all look like they met in line at a post-apocalyptic unemployment agency. However, on Songs By Solutions, the group exhibits quality punk craftsmanship. Like the album title says, the Solutions are completely to blame for all of the paranoid, hallucinatory treasures contained within. There is no need for the Final Solutions to rest on the crutch of a classic punk cover; not when they are busy unleashing such rabid rockers as the amazing "Rubber Stamp Test", "Brown Panther" and the completely unglued "Liquid Brainstem Cocktail." The ingeniously amateurish DIY ditty, "I'm a Lightning Bug" is a not-so-distant cousin to some of the best jams from the Desperate Bicycles and the Urinals. "Little Man in My Mind" brings to...um, mind the unzipped ouevre of Chris Knox (Toy Love, Tall Dwarves) and the underrated skiffle revivalists, the Strapping Fieldhands. ...
