Purchase Patsy Cline CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Alabama Christmas CD (1985)
Patsy Cline album
$5.79 Highlighted by the perennial "Christmas in Dixie," Alabama Christmas is a collection of holiday tunes counting among one of Alabama's strongest records, seasonal or otherwise; although at times the material is overly sappy. There's no mistaking the group's affection for the project, and cuts like "Happy Holidays," "Tennessee Christmas," and "A Candle in the Window" are all fine additions to the contemporary country Yuletide canon. ~ Jason Ankeny

| | Sugarland Gold & Green CD (2009)
Patsy Cline CD music
$12.35 Georgia's Sugarland rose to great heights in 2009 - their 2008 album LOVE ON THE INSIDE reached platinum status, they recorded a prime-time network television special called LIVE ON THE INSIDE, which was then released in numerous packages that all sold well, and the group has sold out live shows globally. Therefore it seems to make sense for the group to release yet another stop-gap before the year runs out in lieu of a new studio album. GOLD AND GREEN is a hybrid holiday recording. It contains ten tracks, five of which are Christmas standards including a country boogie version of "Winter Wonderland," a "backwoods" "O Come O Come Emmanuel," and a steeped-in-reverence acoustic version of "Silent Night," sung bilingually in Spanish and English. The other five cuts are originals themed for the holidays. One has to give Sugarland some marks for trying to do something different than a standard-issue Christmas album.
Personnel: Kristian Bush (vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, background vocals); Jennifer Nettles (vocals, piano, background vocals); Annie Clements (vocals, background vocals); Dan Dugmore (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, steel guitar, dobro, banjo); Thad Beaty (acoustic ...
| | Kenny Chesney Greatest Hits II CD (2009)
Patsy Cline music CDs
$10.69 The second collection of hit singles by one of contemporary country's most popular male singers is every bit as solid as Chesney's first best-of set. Although Chesney adopted a slightly different musical style during the period covered here--a wayfarer beach bum persona heavily influenced by Jimmy Buffett--these songs stress the craft and songwriting smarts at the core of his work. Chesney's ...

| | Darius Rucker Learn To Live CD (2008)
Patsy Cline CD music
$10.99 Although for the rest of his life, underinformed fans of 1990s pop will forever be calling Darius Rucker "Hootie," the former Hootie & the Blowfish singer-songwriter makes his solo debut with a perfectly credible take on mainstream contemporary Nashville country. The laid-back, largely acoustic folk-pop of Hootie & the Blowfish was never that far removed from contemporary country in the first place, so only the fact that Rucker is the first major African-American country star since the heyday of Charley Pride makes the stylistic crossover out of the ordinary. First single "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," a Top 5 hit on the Billboard country charts even prior to the album's release, makes clear how comfortable Rucker is with the blend of the Eagles and the Dixie Chicks that is contemporary country radio, and tracks like "History in the Making" and "Forever Road" are equally fine examples of the form.

| | Riders In The Sky Always Drink Upstream From The Herd CD (1995)
Patsy Cline music CDs
$14.09 As they get older, Riders in the Sky sound more accomplished and, more importantly, they sound more sincere. Like any of the group's albums, Always Drink Upstream from the Herd combines standards with original material, but what makes it noteworthy is that sincerity -- they still make jokes, but they can deliver the material more gracefully and skillfully than ever before, making it one of their most enjoyable efforts. ~ Thom Owens
Recorded at 1103 Studio, Nashville, Tennessee. Includes liner notes by Bill C. Malone.

$14.05 | | Patty Loveless Only What I Feel CD (1993)
Patsy Cline songs
$6.05 "How Can I Help You Say Goodbye" was nominated for 1995 Grammy Awards for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song.
Patty Loveless has delivered one of the best country albums of 1993 with ONLY WHAT I FEEL. The singer from the Kentucky hills soars through rangy melodies and heartbreak lyrics in what is one of the most comprehensive and satisfying albums of any genre.
The opening "You Will" is an edgy, spirited lesson to a lover, and from her opening note the crystal-clear, mournful, yet determined voice of a woman in control is quite evident. Loveless has a similar hard country approach as her cousin, Loretta Lynn, and she knows how to seamlessly weave her unbridled, bluegrass mountain voice through a contemporary sieve.
Loveless has an effective vocal catch, adding a melancholy soul-grabbing resonance to such tender ballads as "Love Builds Bridges," "Nothing But The Wheel," and the economy-size-Kleenex-box tearjerker "How Can I Help You Say Goodbye." When her heart breaks, the jagged pieces cut everything in sight.
Not that Loveless can't have fun--the litany of her lover's bad qualities, "Blame It On Your Heart," is a laugh-along show-stopper.
Ache and regret might burst forth from this extraordinary album, but it is a woman's strength which gives it its cohesive edge, as in the astonishing "What A Broken Heart." Musical integrity, ethereal vocals, and first-rate material are only parts of this stylist's whole, and Patty Loveless binds them all together with a craftsman-like preciseness unparalleled in contemporary music.
Recorded at Groundstar Laboratories and Woodland Digital, Nashville, Tennessee.
Personnel includes: Patty Loveless (vocals); Biff Watson (acoustic guitar); Steve Gibson (guitar, mandolin); Reggie Young (guitar); Sonny Garrish, Paul Franklin (steel guitar); Christian Teal, Connie Heard, David Davidson, David ...
| | Cure Faith CDs (1981) (Import) Deluxe Edition; United Kingdom
Patsy Cline album
$20.39 If you ever observed (or were) a pale depressed-looking teenager dressed entirely in black, sitting in the corner scribbling frantically into a marble bound notebook, then you already understand the Cure. In the 1980s, the Cure provided the soundtrack for an entire generation of misfit toys, and if SEVENTEEN SECONDS was a wake-up call for the dispossessed, FAITH is the daily affirmation. Scaled back down to a three-piece with the loss of keyboardist Hartley, the Cure is a lean, mean fighting machine, ready to rumble.
"Rumble" is the best way to describe the propulsive bass playing of Simon Gallup, whose rolling bass anchors both mid-tempo numbers like "The Drowning Man" and faster fare such as "Primary." While no new ground is broken ("Doubt" is basically a rewrite of "Play for Today"), FAITH is stunning in its simplicity and haunting beauty, as evidenced by "All Cats Are Grey" and "The Funeral Party." Even drummer and mascot Lol Tolhurst's minimal beats work to perfection next to the spare-yet-effective instrumentation of "Faith." This is quintessential Cure.
Universal UK pressing features the same content as the Rhino/US version, though packaged in the standard Universal 'Deluxe Edition' slipcase. 2 CD set compiled by Robert Smith and digitally remastered from the original master tapes. $14.89 Here is finally the album which we registered(recorded) in Guadeloupe in Jacques Joab's studio. At the beginning, a quite small studio. In this time(period) I played a lot and I had numerous fragments, the meetings were very convenient to the fusion(merger), so when I had time free I invited every musician to register(record) track(runway) by track(runway). I wanted to make all my good friends musicians play, regrettably, having composed only 9 fragments, it was not possible. The album in summer registered(recorded) in 96, but went out in 2007Voici enfin l’album que nous avons enregistré en Guadeloupe dans le studio de Jacques Joab. Au début, un tout petit studio.
