(4 Customer Reviews)
Best known for his title role on the Nickelodeon TV show DRAKE & JOSH, actor/singer Drake Bell reveals a knack for charming, well-crafted pop tunes on his 2006 major-label debut, IT'S ONLY TIME. Clearly a devoted Beatles acolyte, Bell offers up a set of tunes that (surprisingly, for a tween-focused pop celebrity) largely rejects slick modern production in favor of a vintage sound inspired by Abbey Road Studio, as best revealed on the sunny, shimmering "I Know" and the jaunty, piano-driven "Fool the World."
Personnel: Drake Bell (vocals, guitars, background vocals); Backhouse Mike (guitars, keyboards, electric bass, percussion, background vocals); David Barlia (ukulele, Jew's harp); C.J. Abraham (horns); Tom Kinne (electric bass); Joe Travers, Joey Finger (drums); DJ Eroc (scratches); Alissa Griffith (background vocals).

| It's Only Time Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) Great Talent I remember seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, so I'm not a kid, and I really like this CD. I also really like Drake Bell. I've seen his live concert. I've seen him interact with his fans. You can tell he really loves what he is doing musically. It shows in this CD. He has surrounded himself with quality musicians. Great sound. Submitted by arthurlsmith (Randolph, MA. USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Makes for a great album..... Im not a teen who likes a whole lot of pop, Or the whole disney thing really. But id have to say drake bell makes a great album with this. He has such a strong pop edge with classic influences you hear. Not that this sounds like the beatles, But he was indeed inspired by them. If you like pop, Of new youll love this. If you like pop or rock of the older age, youll love this more. So if you like good music, Buy this, or at least listen. Submitted by Cody (Louisville, KY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Michael Buble Crazy Love CD (2009)
It's Only Time music CDs
$14.49 Buoyed by the popularity of the hit contemporary pop ballad "Home," singer Michael Bublé's 2005 album, IT'S TIME, clearly positioned the vocalist as the preeminent neo-crooner of his generation. Easily the singer's most stylistically wide-ranging album so far, 2009's CRAZY LOVE is also one of his brightest, poppiest, and most fun. Bublé kicks things off with the theatrical, epic ballad "Cry Me a River" and proceeds to milk the tune with burnished breath, eking out the drama line by line. It's over the top for sure, but Bublé takes you to the edge of the cliff, prepares to jump, and then gives you a knowing wink that says, not quite yet -- there's more fun to be had. And what fun it is with Bublé swinging through "All of Me," and killin' Van Morrison's classic ...
| | Trans-Siberian Orchestra Night Castle CDs (2009)
It's Only Time songs
$11.35 NIGHT CASTLE appears just in time for the big 2009 holiday season but don't be fooled: this isn't a Christmas album, even if it's sonically indistinguishable from Trans-Siberian Orchestra's other seasonal releases, and the fact that it's been dubbed "Capra-esque" certainly brings it within the realm of the season. NIGHT CASTLE brims with all the drama, pomp, and circumstance of Trans-Siberian Orchestra's other records but channeling these traits through a newly created narrative does have the effect of hearing it in a somewhat new light, shifting the focus entirely to the band's attack, not melody. ...

| | Dada Nabhaniilananda Return Of The Magic CD (2005)
It's Only Time CD music
$15.19 Hi, my name is Dada Nabhaniilananda. I am a monk, musician, writer and a meditation teacher with the spiritual movement Ananda Marga (which means "The Path of Bliss" in the Sanskrit language). Originally, I'm from New Zealand, where I started playing music at age six, and began composing on the piano when I was eleven. I then branched out into playing other instruments as well, including the cello, clarinet, trumpet and euphonium (a kind of small tuba). After 13 years of piano study, I switched to guitar and vocals. It was really just a practical decision⎯since a piano was a bit awkward to carry around! In college, I studied English literature, which proved to be an invaluable aid in writing my lyrics. I also became interested in meditation and oriental mysticism, and decided to go to India and Nepal to study yoga. Then, in 1979, I was ordained as a yogic monk…quite a detour from the expected course for a young New Zealand boy.I continue to write songs, record, and perform. To date, I have produced seven albums. Three contain my own songs, three are composed of spiritual chanting, and one album offers all Indian music. I have also recently published a book on meditation, and am now working on a book about music production and writing a science-fiction comedy. Many of my songs deal with human rights and ecology issues. I have been fortunate to be invited to perform all over the world. I've performed at numerous international forums and ecology events, including the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, where I played to more than 5000 people with a very hot Brazilian back-up band. I also got to play with renowned saxophonist Paul Winter! I use extensive electronic multimedia/art in my performances⎯including spectacular images of nature⎯to help convey a vision of hope and optimism for the future. I always want people to come away from my music feeling uplifted and motivated to do something good for our planet. Luckily, I've been able to balance my Spiritual ...

| | Justin Hopkins Building EP CD (2005)
It's Only Time songs
$10.15 He sings with a veteran's swagger, commands the stage with a contagious energy, and plays his heart out with effortless soul. So why is it people are just discovering the music of Justin Hopkins?More then likely its because for the last four years Hopkins set aside his constantly wavering aspirations of pursuing music and took time to finally finish college, get jobs, lose jobs, travel, love, and bartend himself right back onto the stage. During this time Justin recorded and wrote hundreds of demos. Distributing the songs into CD players at college parties, coffee shop centerpieces, and anybody who'd listen, Hopkins soon became a much talked about favorite amongst students at the University of Oregon, as well as the folk loving local community surrounding eugene, OR. He took this time to record with local Portland jazz virtuoso Randy Porter. The result was a boot-leg of live sessions that never made it to press. However, ask almost any fan, and they own a copy. The music was reflective of Hopkins' dedication to steely danesque groove rock, and featured bassist Phil Baker (Pink Martini, Diana Ross) and percussionist Rheinhard Melz (Rubberneck). But as his local reputation strengthened, Justin found himself quickly relocating to Portland, OR upon graduation to find work and continue writing and working on what eventually would become his debut record, the 'Building ep'. Slimmed down from 48 acoustic demos to 6 ...
